This is where hard choices need to be made by Carol and Co. Do we go with a training hub and facilities that are Championship ready, however, we are in the 2nd Div or even lower. Do we scale down slightly to get a couple of players capable of keeping us in this league or just say - here comes Div 2. Oh to be an owner. We need players - but we need facilities, so that is the hard choice they need to make - which is top of the list.

Or the non-league.

I think Ripley falls into the top 4 of keepers in Div 1. He has been let down by the midfield and defence a lot and so the goals scored are not really his fault. He has also pulled off numerous saves our previous goal keepers would have let in.

He'd stand a good chance with his record at Vale behind him. He has probably done a lot behind the scenes and offered advice on getting the ground up to spec. But there again was that Colin Garlic advice? However, when it comes to getting the players into the club it seems to have failed big style and wants them to play a style they just cant play either. Also left big decisions (if he made them) till it was too late - eg: AC being removed. This should have happened back in Oct 23. I can't see Carol and Co getting rid of Flickers till he has taken the club to the brink.

This is a good letter from their point of view to ease the protests, however, all it will do is light the touch paper and it wont end well for either party. However, he is part of "What's on the pitch" side of things - so is responsible for it. He should have sacked or brought it up with Carol and family about how the manager was not working and should have been released a lot earlier. The fans could see it back in Oct 23 it was not working anymore. No he waits till the window has closed so a new manager does not have the facility to bring in or get players out so he work with them to save our Div Status. Seems a bit like he is trying to sabotage things. Could understand one bad transfer window - but we have had several bad windows where we needed strikers and other positions and guess what failed big style. This has made us worse each Jan window, as some of the panic signings have taken months to get match fit, or the style of play does not suit their playing style and they look useless. Funny part - keep us in this league. Well that isn't going to happen this year is it. So a big fail on that one. Be honest with the fans. Say we are skint and your trying to keep the club afloat by several cost measures and looking at investment avenues. You may be surprised how much support the fans give you and cut you some slack.

Thing is did those in control of the club know. Colin G. would have done.

Just shows how bad it was, that fans are not commenting on the new players and how we all think the team will gel and play together. What formations do you think we will play. We all know the formation Flickers will dictate is the possession football and hope that Loft and Willo don't get injured. Instead what the fans are doing is swopping details on the food of gods and how they like their oatcakes with different things. No harm in that at all and its refreshing to see. We all know we are probably in trouble on the pitch and are just hoping it works out and we keep our league position. At least they aren't fighting each other through words or arranging meet ups.

It is never simple or not interesting at Vale. Hang on for a bumpy rough next couple of months. Wonder how many other club fans are saying that about their clubs transfer window.

All the loan strikers had no previous injuries, so the process discounted them from the search. They also knew where the goal was and had a good goal scoring ratio. Again discounted from the search. 🤣 As Baldrick said - I have a cunning plan.

As my Povey order came the other day. It's oatcakes, bacon and cheese tomorrow and sunday. Something to look forward to and on sunday to pick myself up from the loss or celebrate the win. Either way will be good as its oatcakes being troughed. Today is egg banjo day. as I don't do fish friday. Those in the know - know egg banjo and fish friday. 🤪

You hope Vale will climb the ladder of success, but know it will never happen, as the fat lady luck will smack you around the head for thinking that way in games.
