  1. Moore must have known relegation was a distinct possibility, surely he can't walk if we do go down as:

His career will be on the downslide and he'll need to restore it to get a decent job

He'll look insincere if he signs a really long deal then walks away (as I don't think he'll be sacked.)

So what are people's thoughts on the chances that he will be our manager should we go down? I am not personally going to judge his performance until he's had a significant number of games under his belt having had the chance to shape his own team. I hope he gets the chance to do that whatever league we are in.

I don't think we can even look at his tactics / formations / subs too much at this stage as in all seriousness, what can he do? It'll only change when he brings players in to play the style he wants and he is responsible for managing them having had direct input.

I’d play Garrity up top as the other option. Even Massey would do a better job and at least run down the channels and stretch sides. Loft shouldn’t play again

Massey isn't bad going forward. He rarely loses the ball and puts some nice crosses in, In a 433 he would be ok. It's just as wingback it's too much, as with most of the other players we have who have been asked to play in that position.

  3. The attitude of the players is so frustrating because the fixtures are in our favour!

At home: Cambridge, Exeter, inconsistent Bristol Rovers, sliding Oxford, Fleetwood, Shrewsbury.

You really couldn't ask for a better home fixtures going in to the last 1/4.

Couple with that beatable Burton and already beaten Wigan and Northampton away.

18th with 49 points last year: that means we need 6 wins, 8 losses to equal that again.

  4. At the risk of lol emoji bombardment: Massey is no RWB, but as a right sided forward with an out and out RB behind him he is much more of an attacking threat. He crosses and links up quite well, but as with everyone in that 532 nonsense he was expected to do everything. I’d give him a go over Weir because he looks like another premier league academy player that in the real world is a L2 sub.

Pope scored significantly (8, 35%) more league goals in one season, 12/13, than Loft has scored in his entire 200 game career.

Nathan Smith, a centre half, has scored more career league goals than Loft. As have Chislett and Garrity from midfield. Even Grant, another defender, isn’t far behind.

23 goals since 2014.  WTF was Flitcroft thinking?

peter schmeichel scored more than phil neville throughout his career.

  6. If we hadn’t have tried to scrimp at the beginning of the season we could have spent Uche and Loft’s wages on one decent L1 striker. Instead we picked a guy off the scrap heap, nursed him to fitness, and then he got injured. Meanwhile picking up a dud. Two premium, desperate signings that properly managed like a normal club within a transfer window would have yielded a proper striker who could help us now. We’ve been risking it with penny pinching then panic splurging for a while, and we’ve finally been caught out after years of warning.
