weir is a midfielder so will be coming in for Blaster
Yes but he seems like a 10 than a deep-lying playmaker? could be wrong though.

fleetwood and carlisle I reckon.
Charlton? in freefall, no manager and played more.
Any of the bottom 10 could fill the other 2 spots, but it could be any of those teams.
I think we'll be safe with a cushion of games to play, we just can't keep giving freebies away to teams who can't beat anyone else (carlisle, shrewsbury etc.)

weir for thomas = happy
gore for devine = happy
williams for balmer = happy
but we surely can't go without a replacement for Arblaster?

Let’s not waste time playing him out of position, the realising where he works best 2 games before the end of the season.

I told Carol after Oxford Utd away Ollie Blaster was the best loan signing and one of the best players I’ve seen in 40 years watching Vale.
If the new lads on loan from Liverpool and ManUtd …. Just let that sink in a minute….. if they are as good on paper in L1 I may have to reconsider.
It really is unbelievable how we have attracted these lads this season. Flickers PowerPoint must have subliminal messages but the proof is in the pudding, with the way we have helped and developed Blaster and Alfie must be a very big selling point.
And to a lesser degree Balmer. Looked class and calm until he made a mistake and never shook it off, looking a liability. Palace now know more about the player and his levels now so they can act accordingly.
Yes and even though Balmer didn’t quite come off, he’s still in that bracket of attracting young premier league talent that other L1 clubs were probably in for. I’d love to know how many we beat for Arblaster.

What are peeps expecting from Gore. assuming Arblaster > Devine, where does he fit in? ^ Blaster, in between, below Devine? I expect he’ll be somewhere between passing wise, slightly more lightweight than Alfie, but be more of a goal threat than either. We’ll see. If he signs. Maybe he has signed, I haven’t checked.

Weir is the replacement for Gordon? (happy)
Williams for Balmer (happy)
Just need to replace Devine, Arblaster and maybe Uche now! And Conlon, and maybe Cass.

I'd be amazed if Williams starts 5 games.

So Weir has gone from not being able to get a game to being needed to play across the entire midfield alone. What a turnaround.

If Devine can go to Plymouth, Arblaster can go to the top of the Championship.

I'm not trying to compare Rhys and Ben. I'm just calling out the fact that everyone seems to be jumping through hoops for a player who's barely played a game just because he comes from Liverpool.
It would take a lot to be worse than Kofi mind, so just being able to play football and he's an upgrade.Flitters says that is “great experience”

We always say about our players “he won’t be going anywhere in January as he’s injured”, but we sign injured players all the time, so maybe someone will take ours.
-
If we played on paper, rather than being made of paper, we’d be unstoppable.

Can’t see us getting a centre back unless one leaves. By my count we have 7, DJ not far off a return and Debrah only short term, that means everyone will be available. Cass obviously looks to moving so that might mean he can be replaced.
-
Uche, Wilson and Loft as the only strikers will not be the plan I’m sure. I always saw Thomas as a 10, but we have 3 decent ones and that’s with Devine dropping back to fill the Blaster role, so he’d be 4th choice. Meanwhile we are short of out and out strikers who can do the business consistently. I reckon we’ll be signing someone to finally lead the attack, and then have Uche off the bench to harass tired defenders into the ground.

Good age, league experience, league 1 success, good injury record, covering a position we always need support with, some nice goals, potential to sign permanently, another Prem club trusting us, deal done in early Jan, most likely was being eyed by other league 1 clubs, fantastic first signing.

Seems like Michael Mellon set to go to Dundee on loan.
Is it a Dundee-l?

The most likely player to be sold in this transfer window is Cashin at Derby.
-
Smith must come back in and play in the centre. Debrah has been ok overall and Yak is getting back to full fitness. I think sticking with these 3 as CBs is the way to go. Move Lowe into a holding CM role until Ojo comes back.
-
Kept a clean sheet at their place after being whacked for 7. I think we’ll get a result because surely Crosby will start with something akin to what finished yesterdays game.
-
To be fair Loft was winning some headers, closing down etc. but with one up front what can he do? He can’t chase his own flick on.

We absolutely dominated the second half. Had a hatful of chances, some good saves, a goal disallowed and some decent goals. Make the changes after half an hour rather than half time and we win that game.
