I wonder how many on the retained list can play 30 games plus? There lays the problem! If you are going to get promoted you need a good core of players on thirty games plus.

I just hope we can get enough players in to balance the squad and a few with a much stronger mentality.

I for one are not expecting much! I just hope we can stop the rot! And the loosing mentality. Plus we need to be much much fitter! And be able to play for 90 minutes plus! Sorry mid table at best.

Over simplistic I know. But the number of players we have who cant complete 30 plus games a season is ridiculous. A bit chunk of the playing budget is paying players to sit in the treatment room. Who's idea is it to sign injured and injury prone players. If Uche could not pass a fitness test at Charlton why does he at Vale?

I think many fans like myself accepted the first season back in league one due to the playoffs delaying any signings. However this season there has been no excuse we scraped by last year , but to make the exact same mistakes this year is unbelievable . For two seasons we have endured some right garbage! Although having a corporate season ticket I just could not find the energy to attend. I am so disappointed and disillusioned I just don’t know if I will bother again. After sixty odd years of watching the Vale you would think I would be used to disappointments every defeat hurts like hell! But the lack of effort and commitment is just to much to take.

It's no good signing strikers when you are conceding two and three goals a game! Get some defenders in !

One big concern I have it's not the vocal few we need to worry about but the silent majority. We need a good and honest inquest on the last two seasons. Then we need a clear plan going forward, many of the mistakes this season have been as clear as daylight! Every man and his dog could see them, but those in power could not or would not. I am really concerned how many people will not return or renew season tickets .

Without question we are the most unfit team in the league!

What worries me most is we are both mentally and physically weak. We need a few players with a bit more physicality and some much stronger characters.

Talk of fitness! That's been one of our biggest problems. We must be the worst team in the league for fitness. Add to that the long term injuries its ridiculous.

It is a case of how many we conceed tomorrow. We will certainly not trouble there keeper. How have we got to this?

The real annoying thing about the situation is last season we scraped by just! Absolutely no lessons were learned and we just blundered on. We have never been competitive in league one! I think with the best will in the world we are going to be in league two for a while.

At some point we need a crystal clear explanation why everything went pear shaped after promotion. We have never really been at the races in league one. The other thing is fitness and injuries. Totally unsustainable in league two.

After the dross on offer for the last two seasons I will be very surprised if we top 4k season tickets unfortunately.

Just under 4k home fans! That tells a story! Very hard to see us getting 4k season tickets next season!

There must be lots of injured players we can sign to keep our medical team in gainful employment.

The chances of us coming back up is very remote! Probably more chance of going out of the league! We will need a season to build a half decent and balanced squad, I think we need to prepare for a few seasons of mid table mediocrity at best. We don't seem to learn from our mistakes which is so frustrating. We have got nowhere being league one ready. We have never really been at the races.

Fitness and injuries are a big question mark. I thought we had a big team on this!Not doing a very good job are they.
