    It's in 3 locations.

Wednesday is at a place called Bar social in Newcastle by the Vue Cinema. 6.15 to 7.15.

Saturday morning Brampton museum Newcastle or Saturday afternoon at Foxlowe Arts centre in Leek.

I just DM asking where so ignore that. I could probably get to the saturday morning one for an hour.

Yes I go to night school and have been studying it for 2 years. So mine was more guesswork from the knowledge I've learnt.

Pretty much the same thing I guess as Bablefish.

Where is the night school? I’ve been learning via Duolingo for about 3 years and would love some face to face interaction now.

And your short memory forgets we gave Arblaster and Devine a chance last season. Add Plant to the list and you have a number of teenagers who have turned out well,by giving them a chance.

I know you don’t rate Crosby but his football expertise is a million times more than yours as you would never would have risked playing those youngsters……too much weight on their shoulders.

    Is BJ Alan Hansen? 😂

I can't divulge where I work, but yes, in football and does involve contracts.

I'd be very surprised as a first year pro (which he is) if he can command that sort of figure. It's not allowed at Liverpool, for example - and other Prem clubs have similar structures, where it will increase with length of service. At Liverpool the max wage for a 17 year old is 40,000 - a year.

It will be very good money, but you're talking 20K a week minimum for a multi year contract. That obviously isn't what all the Prem clubs are paying their youth players on a basic wage plus loyalty fee, even the ones they poach and bring in.

Different story if he has more experience, or you have some mad club wanting to give him that money to gazump a bigger club.

I do know that when a young midfielder went from Crewe to Chelsea u21s he was on 3k a week and his family were moved from Crewe to London. That was probably about 4 or 5 years ago now.  I think he was a bit younger than Baylee as well and not in the England set up. In fact I am sure he was about 15 at the time. He had just scored a couple of hat tricks against Liverpool u18 and Chelsea u18. So they will pay better money for young lads than we can pay our first team. Baylee would be on somewhere around £8k a week at a guess if he made the move now.

🫨 Shocking to hear about Grayson yesterday  - heart goes out to his closest and mostest 🙈🙈. Iv always thought of golf as one of the most arduous sports to undertake professionally.  Makes old (but very rich) men of young men, and then there's the small chance you get what happened yesterday 🙈🙈 - not golfs fault, but the pressure doesn't help if you are already struggling.

I don't think people realise how much a professional golfers life is taken up by the sport. In football you go and train for a few hours then go home and play 2 games a week. Golfers are on the road all the time, travelling to the next tournament, pro-am Monday/Tuesday, practice round Weds, competition Thurs, Fri and if you make the cut then both weekend days. Of course if you miss the cut then it's no money and you are down on travel and hotel expenses. Trying to hole putts to pay your mortgage is a lot harder than having a guaranteed weekly wage of a footballer or similar.

Hoppers, Hopefully Starlink will bring the prices down.

The internet and sports subscriptions etc are becoming more and more of an issue each year. Boxing has been slammed, football and Cricket not far off,  I'm a Golf nut and shudder to think what will happen when the PGA, DP tours and LIV golf work out their future direction.👍

I think the ship has sailed on the amalgamation of the golf tours. A real pity as when watching the DP tour this weekend very few crowd pulling names involved. Same with PGA most weeks. On a side note local (ish) lad Robert Rock has qualified for the US Open  after not playing much since he beat tiger. He had been coaching fitz but last time I saw him he said the coaching was getting too much and too long days for not enough money. Know where he is coming from.

It's a good point Hoppers and why I commented "I await with bated breath".  If this does happen then the games may be available on another streaming platform which we will have to pay for but this is the way sport is going at the moment. If we abide by the rule, "If the EFL can screw it up they probably will" we probably won't be far wrong.

Add to this I spend usually 6-8 weeks on cruise ships (Cheapest and best value vacation in the USA) to escape the New England winter and I pay a fortune to upgrade the on ship wifi so I can access reliable streaming to watch Vale games, it could start to  get very expensive. On a bright note ships are now being fitted with a wifi system called "Starlink" which hopefully will bring the price of ship wifi down.

We have starlink at work. It's pretty decent unless there happen to be solar flares going on.

    Yes you were.

He did turn it around. They didn't score in the opening 10 games before he joined. They then jumped up towards the top of the form table.  Another 2 goals on the last day and he'd have kept them up. His January signings that "decimated" his squad scored that day, and against us. He beat us, twice.

He hasn't been here for 13 months. 2 transfer windows. In his first partial season he pulled us out of a relegation battle and, IIRC, set records with 8 wins out of 9 with a team containing the likes of, miraculously, Crookes, Guthrie, Mills and Whitehead. He got us promoted in his first full season in 21/22. You are irrational in your vendetta.

I reckon Clarke must have tackled his mrs

If Dipepa gets game time it puts him right in the shop window for all the European Clubs.

    Well done Baylee Dipepa.

I reckon he will get snapped up by Man City and loaned back out to a league one club.

Why should he? No way that should have been stopped. He give a standing count didn’t he? Correct decision. He recovered well like he always does but if that had got stopped in an undisputed title fight then it would have been awful. Yes the ropes held him up but that’s boxing, even if he had hit the canvas I fully expect him to have got back up. It wasn’t even close to the knockdown he suffered against wilder that he just about got up from

If the ropes stop a boxer who is going down from hitting the canvas then a count is what the rules state. Anyone suggesting different doesn’t know the rules.
he did look out of it but what a recovery. He even showboated in the last 10 seconds of the 12th when he should have been trying to knock him down. He didn’t take the fight seriously enough for me and you can’t do that against a fighter like Usyk. He is a legend.

Both of those were good. Knopps unlucky with injury. I thought Tavares was class early doors and then fell away. Like you say, far better than the bunch we currently have

Some sobering reality hitting home here. Oxford were awful last season, finished two points behind, us, yet are now almost certain to see championship football next season.

The obvious reason is that when they have crippled or poor performing players, they get rid of them and keep the decent ones. We did the exact opposite.

I would love to know the difference in our budgets that has given us league 2 football, while they get the Championship.

I work with an Oxford fan and he tells me that their owners subsidise player wages to the tune of £2m a year. They won’t be allowed To do that in the championship as the rules are different for FFP. Will be interesting to see how they do.

Got rid of sky to expensive killing all sport  for the real fans.

The coverage is outstanding for football and especially for golf. It is expensive but not if you use a dodgy stick 🦯 📺

in terms of this sky deal if all clubs on a level playing field then it’s up to the owners to get the best value out of it they can. Best value isn’t usually cheapest they could do well to remember that.

Are the payments split over 3 direct debits or will there be a upfront payment 1-15 June do you know mate?

You pay your first on 5th June and your second and third when Loft scores his next two goals.

    100%.

    Every manager does it.

How hard is it to pick a formation, then sign 2 players for each position?

    Not rocket science.

Think you might be disappointed. Moore has already said he wants to sign players that are adaptable and play at least 2 positions.
