It was tongue in cheek largely£180m before any fees and tax due on the payout, plus they have family that I'm sure they'll want to help.
Still it's enough to really make a huge difference for us, as Carole has shown she cares about leaving a legacy with the club and foundation.
But just 3% interest on, say, 100m invested properly would generate 3m a year, which is more than enough to drastically change a club at our level. That's if she wants to put that Vale's way, which she's not obliged to do and I hope she does whatever is right for her, Kevin and the family- 4

After all of the crap and vitriol that's been going Carol's way over the last few months I wouldn't blame her in the slightest for not putting another penny into the club. But she won't do that. Because she genuinely cares about the club. And we're very lucky that she does. 99% of other owners would have done a Norm. There's only so many people willing to lose millions running a football club and at the same time always try to have its best interests at heart. Carol is one of them. But some of you think she should walk away. Or have you changed your minds now she's likely to be financially much better off and expect her to justify your annual £300 purchase by putting 180 million into the club?

So:
Crosby out - Achieved
Flitcroft out
Carol out
Darren Moore out
All the players out bar Garrity and Ripley
Patrick out?
Hancock out?
I said when Carol took over that the vicious cycle would repeat itself in a few years, as it's always the fkin same with you lot. And so it has. Some of you really do have very very short memories and demand the earth for the £300 you pay every 12 months.
As for the comment that this team is the worst in 40 years. It's not the worst in 4 years, let alone 40 for Christ's sake.- 12

They wouldn't for any other of our playersStick that on ya pipe & smoke it how some are defending that from smith & looking for excuses is utterly embarrassing -
Same.I'll be renewing for next season, whether L1 or L2, Flitcroft or no Flitcroft.
Because football is my game and Port Vale are my club, like they have been since I was eight years old. It's nearly sixty years since I started following them and despite promotions and relegations, good owners and bad, the highs and lows that inevitably come, they're still my club and will be till the day I die. (And maybe beyond - although a wise man once told me that some people serve their Purgatory on earth. )- 1

What game was Moore watching? It wasn't the one I saw

On the abuse point, he did specifically mention Fleetwood and the home game, but also online which his family were apparently reading.I tried to start a new thread called Dave Flitcroft In ( Podcast) but failed miserably and put it in the Tickets and Travel Section.
Great listen. An explanations of what's happening is exactly what I have wanted and he explained very well and openly dispelling a few myths and urban legends. I thought Dan did an excellent interviewing DF, really representing the fans with his questions rather than a corporate approach. On the abuse I haven't heard or seen anything out than Dave Flitcroft get out of the club which I peronsally don't think abuse but I wasn't at Fleetwood so no idea how personal it got top there.

Weirdly quiet response to the podcast, which I personally found very illuminating. Really sad to hear how the abuse has affected DF and also his family. Nobody deserves that just from trying to do their job.

Who's Wilkinson? Have I missed a signing?!Strikers are highly paid and a big risk. I thought we had a good set of attacking players until Uche and Garrirty got injured. Still have Dipepa, Loft, Chislett and Wilkinson. I think Chislett is trying to do too much, Wilkinson is not getting the service, Loft is a powerful box presence but our useless wingback system gives no service. Depepa needs his chance now signed on. Basically we have replaced the manager because he couldn't cut the mustard.- 1

Knew Dan Jones would be blamedTo be fair though Warren, the goal we conceded was terrible defending.
Loft misplaced a header back towards Grant who slipped and allowed the midfielder free rein to push onto our half.
A simple pass through Smiths legs and Lowe just watched as the winger slung over a deep cross where Jones allowed the 5'4" No10 to outjump him and plant a header into the bottom corner leaving Ripley rooted to the spot.
Darren wasn't happy !- 1

We were staring relegation in the face in exactly the same circs when DC took over. If he could manage to get that horrendous lot in shape and go on the unbeaten run we did, then we have to be confident that DM can do the same. And that was with Robinson and Guthrie up front and Brisley at the back wasn't it?Northampton have signed Liam Moore today until the end of the seasonal excellent signing.
It goes to show there are still good free agents out there. We have to find a way of getting a few through the door to give us a better chance of staying up. I still don't see how we can score enough goals to win matches.

Even if they do, they will have made a hell of a fist of it. They were dead and buried when he took overYep, but when his contacts dried up our performances slipped. He’s done the same again at Cheltenham, signing Pett and Taylor, results picked up when he first went there but it is most likely they will still go down. -
Luke Joyce used to do it but he was protected by other midfielders similar to a quarter back, to allow him to pick out a forward pass. The difference being we only had one Luke Joyce now got a team of Luke Joyce’s.
I must have missed that game where he passed one forward- 3

When did he learn that trait? He was, Grant is far worse imo. At least benning can run. -
We did. Quite selective though. You forgotten about Bruno, Brown, Aspin, Gannon, Foyle, Glover and Askey? We've achieved more with a DOF than we did with any of those combined. The problem isn't DF. It's injuries. Simple as that.We did alright without a DOF when Micky Adams was gaffer , can we start a campaign to bring back Micky # Great bloke & man management was different class -
It was before the end of the deadline. Expect MB to pick it up at least after the game on Saturday, or next week at the latest.Out of interest I assume Crosby has done a press conference for tomorrow.
Were cutting and probing questions put to him about why our recruitment chose not to get a striker or the usual clichéd questions?- 2

No wonder we're running out of toilets at VP. AnimalI had 6 pieces of streaky bacon , cheddar cheese , a tin of plum tomatoes and chucked them all in me poveys oatcakes then dipped them in me tomatoes and bacon fat juice , fine dining at its best # they were bloody delicious- 1

Or a lot of the stuff people talk on hereYeah blocked drains apparantly. When they look down there, they will find that’s where our season has gone.- 1

Can't see anything other than we're going to switch to 343 for the rest of the season, at least until Garritys back
