  1. my views havent changed. flitcroft leaves a LOT to be desired. especially since hes making all the signings ( most of which are young future prospects on loan) and not actually players we can sign on long term deals. then theres the issue of 3-5-2 all the time on a pitch as big as wembleys. and then theres the insistence on keeping a manager whos win ratio is appalling. want me to go on ?
There's loads we can sign on long term deals. But nearly all will be worse, some a lot worse, than what we're getting on loan currently

  2. "We as a club have been scouted by Manchester United over a period of time, they have interviewed us and selected us based on how we play and how we support young players”

I have a hunch that may have been a very different outcome under Norman.

"Where are they taking all of those left over pies....?"

  3. Exactly! I remember the Oxford, Blackpool and Exeter manager’s  all saying the same thing this season. When will Vale fans all wake up to how crap we are?
If you categorise us, in your opinion, of 'crap' now, what on earth did you think of us just 4 years ago?

  4. So do.yiu prefer passing back ?
If it's a choice between that or just lumping it aimlessly forward in Popeball style and losing possession, 100% yes. The RS neanderthals are terrible for their 'get it forweeerd' demands when there's absolutely nothing on, then moan when we lose possession

  5. It'll be interesting to learn what's happened with Uche.  If he's not going that'll leave us with one mightily disappointed striker on our hands.  Not ideal, by any means.
Could be anything really couldn't it. Failed medical, Charlton going for 2 strikers in the real hope of bagging just 1 and pulling the deal once Ladapo signed, Charlton telling Uche he wouldn't be first choice, us offering him a new deal yet to be announced, or his agent suddenly changing terms at the last minute. Plus many more potential scenarios likely

  6. He covers all the top league transfers and usually has reliable inside information and often reports signings before clubs media's confirm and is wrong hardly ever. He has over 19 million followers on twitter
I lost interest in the big leagues a long time ago, and don't use Twitter either! Ah well, you learn something every day.

  7. How many managers have FGR had this season?  Didn't they start with a female manager ( virtue signalling),  quietly and quickly sidelined her. Someone else, then Deeney ( always looked a stupid move that one, but it ticked another box I suppose). Now he's gone. Have I missed anyone? They could set a new record here, outdoing Watford,  lol.   Anyone know what the record is for the number of manager's in 1 season?
If some on here had their way we'd have at least 20.

In all seriousness, Palermo apparently hold the record - 9 changes in a single season involving 7 managers. They avoided relegation by 1 point, then tried just 5 changes the next season and went down!

  8. Obviously the problem with loan players is they leave a hole when recalled. We need to get it right in the summer for next season.

Sometimes that's a good thing (that we're not lumbered with them)! I don't have any problem with us going after as many loans as we can, so long as they are better, or much better, than we could get permanently. Ollie and Alfie clearly fall into that category. Kofi and Josh not so much (though Josh I liked). Weir looks promising. Not a bad record for loans this season so far, especially when compared with previous seasons (who could forget Callum Whelan). So long as we do the same kind of quality consistently every window, we're likely to get better players than we could permanently, without the long term risk

  9. Lee Hughes in the 7 v Burton in 2013, but surely Tom Pope scored one after that - can’t think anyone else would have. If it is > 10 years since our last one it must be close to a record (for us) -Chizzy will be getting a statue at this rate.
I've done a quick search and Hughes was defo our last L2 hat trick and Akpo our last L1 hat trick. Long time ago for both!
