24 games in 4 years is crazy. He's a risk but if he hadn't had issues would we even have a prayer ?
Why Liverpool loanee still hasn't debuted for his new club

Officially announced. His last three loans have been shockers and based on Klopps last interview this sounds like last chance saloon for him.
Welcome Rhys.- 2
-
Ben lomax is a better option at RCB than him.It is only good news if we get someone better to replace him surely?- 3

Brilliant newsNow official Balmer returned to palace- 1

We've had some success when looking at non-league recently. Hugill did very well, signed from Whitby. Others like Oyeleke, Hannant and Rawlinson all did good jobs for us in L2.
-
Meanwhile rumoured target Jake young set to join Carlisle, with other rumoured target Michael Mellon set to join Dundee.

And, based on my very minimal Googling, no serious injury record! It would make a refreshing change if we could get a player like that who has shown a lot of promise in league 2 -
He's done well at Swindon, you'd think more teams than us and Exeter would be keen, especially at 22 year oldAccording to Alan Nixon us and Exeter are bidding for Jake Young at Bradford. Was prolific in first half of the season on loan at Swindon and looking at a six figure fee for him. -
No . Because i remember him at Derby away in October.
Either way. January is notoriously a time for other people's cast offs.Liam McCarron joins the Vale on loan | News | Port Vale

Signed summer deadline day -
It was in the sentinel in the week I think.fan in the pub just mentioned a rumour on the oatcake that they are keen on signing Rhys Walters.
Can't be arsed to check the bloatcake. -
Perhaps I should have said McCarron instead, he was deadline day wasn't he?Mipo was an August signing. -
I know, yet to play a minute yet. He was more an illustration that this point that "fast business is bad business" that gets banded around on here every transfer window is rubbish. We wait an age most windows and seem to end up with tripe most times.Mipo is playing for Maritimo in Portugal. -

Spot on RZ. Look how well last summer and January went when we waited till the last knockings to "maximise the value available". I wonder what Matty Taylor or Mipo are up too these days.

Doesn't sound like much has changed for Denver Hume. He's looking to move on in Jan. -
Denver Hume was on the radar in summer wasn't he? Didn't Alan Nixon link him to us?Brad Hills, CB on loan from Norwich.
Joe Taylor, ST on loan from Luton.
Denver Hume, LB, on loan from Portsmouth.
Punts - Ben Krauhaus/Chris Conn-Clarke/Josh Stokes/Lorant Tolaj (would all cost probably low 6 figures with sell ons)
Send back Thomas and Balmer.
Sell/release/loan Cass, Jones, and Conlon.
I have a sneaking suspicion we will go back in for Gibbons and Harratt.

Emmanuel compared to Massey and Grant is absolutely night and day. Missed out big time overlooking him.Vale missed out on Josh Emmanuel who played for Carlisle yesterday, he looked good, a number of people on OVF were talking about him.- 5

Yeah I saw that on her Instagram. Conlon just became a dad too, maybe baby brain has fried them both.Cass’ missus is 12 weeks pregnant. I’m guessing he asked for a move back up north. -
Hopefully they take 6 or 7 with them.Cheltenham and Harrogate I think- 1

I think Crosby's answer to Mike baggleys question after the game all but confirms the Cass and Conlon are in their way out
-
A new defence, new wingbacks, an arblaster replacement and a new strike force and we should be good to go. Thank God we had such a good summer.

He was crap in the away game, hopefully it's the same tonightThe thought of CJ Hamilton steaming at Lomax makes me very nervous.- 3

Arblaster going back is a huge loss to our survival hopes.

Where's this come from, can't see anything on vale or Sheffield twitterArblaster has been recalled by Sheffield United. A blow, and another hole to fill.

If a player who's parent club was a championship team came in and he had the same recent track record of bad attitude/injuries and 24 apperences in 4 years everyone would be up in arms. Because he's from Liverpool people are assuming he's going to be brilliant.
