Thank god we've signed a left back who hasn't played since October from the American second division. Our prayers to this shambles of a performance have been answered.

What a pathetic group of footballers this is.

If this doesn't end 3-0 posh we've won the lotto the way we're playing.
-
Well there hasn't been a transfer window so that's probably why, unless you want a DoF who's picking the team?I don't know how we have coped over the last 2 weeks without a director of football. ??- 2
-
No thank you.How about Phil Sproson For DoF?
Foyle or someone with a similar track record. I don't want Sproson who'll only be interested in pushing his own players or Legge who has 0 experience. We tried the 0 experience route with Flitcroft/Crosby and look where that got us- 3

50 seconds in, basically admitted to throwing a paddy when Crosby left and messaging him to say he scored the penalty for him. Goes someway to explain the utter dross he's been offering up on the pitch since.- 1

Connor Grant, Gavin Massey, Ryan Loft, James Wilson, Uche, Jason Lowe, all the current loan players, Mitch Clarke, Dan Jones, Yak and Tom Sang fcked as far off as is humanly possible, regardless of division.
Start again with what's left, Ripley Smith Debbie, ojo, Garrity, Chissy and Dipepa.- 1

I understand that, I also get that the reason we go for them is they are cheap cause no one else will touch them with a barge pole. We need to change the recruitment model or were always gonna encounter these issues. Most players have some kind of injury record. Problem is that those players have been key to how we play and were usually straight back in when fit. Which says to me that recruitment wise we hadn’t quite got it right so that we had adequate strength and depth to be able to rotate players.

Under the previous recruitment regime we seemed to gravitate towards players with long injury records. You reap what you sow.Ah rubbish. We've had below average luck with injuries this season- 1

It's amazing what can happen when you remove a festering growth from the club.
Up. The. Vale. I've got my club back.- 5

There's no way it should be John Rudge as director of football for me:
1) he's 80
2) he's a club legend, if he took it and it went wrong it would take away from his relationship with the fans (see Dean Glover).
3) people go on about his contact, that was 30+ years ago. None of those people will be still in football.- 7

100% yes. If you want to keep up with modern football then you need the structure in place where the manager can manage and recruitment is dealt with by people who can throw all there energy into it.Which brings me to my next question...Do we really need a DOF?
What you shouldn't do is give it to a chancer who talks a good game.

Very important time now for Carol. I think we definitely need a DoF, one with experience and a track record of success. Moore could be a good manager with a half decent team to look after, flicky has failed two years on the spin to produce one.
We're behind you Carol, you've made the right call, now get the next call right!- 3

Absolutely buzzing. I'm off to douse myself in gin and tonic.

That's that then. Flicky boy has failed to deliver any free agent reinforments for our spiral of doom.

Welcome back VFIA.All I can say about sat is this why are we so poor as a team when we concede a goal .
Does it not hurt us to fall behind
Where's the annoyance at falling behind .
Where's the character to come back .
Where's the pride in the shirt
Why do other teams get out too easily .
Why are our players yards off the pace .
So many whys .
The biggest Why for me is why has Carol allowed this downturn to continue .

If someone had told me at the start of the season that a 16 year old vale player would be playing for England, I'd have said you were mental.
Congrats Baylee!- 5

Shut the fck up.I would rather have V2001 back than the shitshow we have now- 2

I didn't go today and switched off after 50 mins. Apathy is without a doubt how I feel at the min.
Fck them, they chose this path on our behalf, they deserve to go down. -

The sad part about this whole situation, is that I've seriously gone passed the point of caring now.
She doesn't care what we think, she doesn't care about what's going on on the pitch, she doesn't take any other opinion on board. She's made her choice - Flitcroft over the fans.
The man whose assembled one of the most pathetic group of maggots ever to put on a vale shirt, will still be here to do it all again next season.
I'm not even angry any more, just completely indifferent. Sad sad state of affairs.- 14

It's actually pathetic watching this team.

Brunos side were better. The worst in my 25+ years of watching vale was the Brown/Aspins team of 17/18 and 18/19. The football was horrific and the players were worse than what we have now.I saw someone say that we are on a par with the Bruno/Brown team of 2016/17 but not quite as bad as the Foyle/Sinnott team of 2007/08, and I tend to agree.
There have been worse Vale sides in the fourth tier. The Pugh/Tonge axis of evil immediately springs to mind.
Wikipedia suggests that the biggest win we had in 17/18 was 4-0 vs Luton. How times change eh?
Only good thing to come out of those two seasons was David Worrall signing for us.
Askeys second season was garbage aswell untill the messiah got the managers job.- 2

Any chance we can all chip in to get this on a banner for the last home game of the season?
