Just to say hope owners can give manager a decent budget to enable him to compete in the market. Frees and loans will not work.

Every manager has needed a decent budget in my life time and have never had it. Even in league 2 under Adams. The most expensive squad we officially ever had was the Norman Smurfwaite funded 1st season in league 1 when we had Lee Hughes. Albeit, it only lasted 6 months and the cost cutting started….

Most signings we will make will be frees which is generally the norm at this level

Much will depend on whether Vale keep Garrity Chislett and Ripley

They are the three pin structure of the side. I'm not against giving Loft a season at this level... I think he is capable of ten goals in League two. Along with Garrity and Chislett... Should get another 15 goals from both of them combined.

He’s never scored 10 goals in a season throughout his career. I’d be shocked if he scores that many next season

Loft could be the new Proctor! Proctor was never prolific in his career either. Who knows?

The question you need to ask is could Loft have a worst season than last? I think he will excel given the chance. He needs to play.

I can't see any other option. Make no mistake, as good as Dipepa is, the physical side of League two is more suited to Loft.
