but why did vale have the tickets in the first place?

 

I don't get involved Burt but my guess is they originally were going to be sold from the ticket office at the Vale and the full allocation was sent there - any on the day sales would then be done ticketless through the turnstiles.

 

Then the police said it had to be all ticket so this situation happened.

the tickets should really have gone down the day before, shouldn't they? cheers for the info.

Simple.

 

I went to the ticket office late on Friday only to be told that they'd cashed up and I couldn't have one - I'd have to buy online.

 

I went in the shop to buy the new goalkeeper's top, told Joan what had happened and said I cba'd to go online. She suggested I take the tickets down and ask for two when I got there.

 

I left in time to get to the ground by 1.15, used the M1 as it was only 3 miles more and got stuck in a load of traffic on the M25 - then diverted through a load of towns and got to the ground 2.20 ish.

 

Thanks for that Paul. So what would have happened if you hadn't taken them down? :unsure:

Then none would have been available for sale on Friday from the Ticket Office. Imagine the complaints that would have brought!

They sometimes go on the supporters bus, or a Director or Bill Lodey would take them.

does anyone who actually gets paid have anything to do with ticketing

 

All due respect to Joan and Paul but a volunteer fan and a fan in control of hundreds, probably thousands of pounds worth of tickets and you wonder why we're not run professionally.

 

Do we not have a ticket office manager, do they just hand them to the nearest person?
