As mentioned in the News section thread.

 

I am pleased to report that the contractors are on-site to undertake phase 1 of the project.

 

This involves the creation of the alcove in which the statue will eventually stand.

 

The work involves moving the existing steps between the car parks and widening the alcove itself by the removal of a car parking space either side of the existing steps.

 

This work is being done in partnership with Stoke college as an apprentice training scheme.

 

Once completed it leaves us needing to raise the money for the plinth and engravings (including the fans names who have donated £100 to the legends scheme)

 

We still have places available if anyone wishes to donate £100 and have their name associated with the statue. Please contact Pete Williams on 01782 661484.

 

We have taken up Keith's kind offer to have a stand and bucket collection at the Open Day (please let me know if you can help with this whether for the whole day or just part of it) and we are also wanting people to donate prizes for us to use.
