Pre match 'bistro' buffet. Go up as many times as you want. Half time cakes and free tea and coffees.
Oh and not forgetting .... watching Vale in the quarter finals, from arguably the best view in the ground.

You either win or you don't.
You can't just pick out defeats and ignore the wins.

The model got is promoted, doing very well, then we get rid of our recruitment team, bring a new team in, plus our DOF has removed a lot of personal and replace them with his own choices since our promotion and has this worked?, is he helping drive the club forward?
He has clearly stated that all levels of the club need to be trained in the same style of play as the first team for continuity and the development of the junior players.
To do that some staff needed replacing with others who were singing from the right songsheet.
That's progress.

Here we go again...
Let's use statistics to paint the picture you want.
Let's not point out we have owners who want the very best for the club (Let's go back to protest and marching days every home game instead)
Let's not mention the £10M of investment in improving club infrastructure.
Let's not mention the very real success of our Academy.
Let's not mention winning promotion and signing players that play football to the best standard since Rudge.
Let's not mention a current injury list that has stopped us picking the team that got us to the top of the league.
Let's not mention reaching quarter final of the league Cup, because we won games to get there.
Let's just fall for the lies and empty promises of arsehole potential owners who promise you a striker whilst stripping the club of its assets.
Yes its frustrating to concede in injury time.
Yes we are only as good as the last game. But does votes like this, at this time, actually do anything POSITIVE for the club.
How does encouraging those with zero patience and zero foresight actually HELP the club progress?
We have a clearly stated plan at the club after years of lurching from one <ovf censored> owner to another that almost saw the club out of the football league and out of existence.
Just reflect on that !!

It fades into insignificance when compared to the £10M the owners have paid to ensure you have the opportunity to go!

I think it's the thinking that the modern day has become. Everyone wants the best but aren't prepared to pay for it.
It hasn't got through to people that if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.
If you can only afford £6 a game then lower your aspirations, go to LeekTown, accept the standard of football is going to be lower, and have a good night.
Do g expect to pay £6 and watch European football.
Start realising that what you pay for is what you get!!

Makes me laugh.
Vale getting the quarter finals of a major competition and some moan that we are basically charging the same as a league 1 match.
Christmas comes once a year, Vale reach the last 8 of the league Cup for the first time ever. And it will probably be forever before we do it again.
Shall we go? ...
No let's bitch about the price not being a give away £15 or something
January comes ...
What sort of club are we. Still haven't bought a striker!!

Got to say his comments on the Stevenage Manager were beautiful.

The content of The Valiant is far better and in depth than anything The Sentinel print for Stoke.

Just get the info elsewhere. Everything is available much quicker online. Makes no sense to me.
That's just the point. Much of the content of 'Valiant' is either not available elsewhere or it is but Baggers articles are more in depth.
Personally, I think it is incredibly good value for money at £10 for a year. In fact the £40 per year for 2nd year onwards is still great value for money.
Apparently from the subscription numbers a lot of Vale fans think the same.
BTW I only wish the money was going directly to Baggers and not Reach publications who I have no time for at all.

Just had a listen Osh, thank you.
Above everything else it's so good to know it's not just Carol and Kevin, it's the Shanahan family.
Listening to Patrick Shanahan was wonderful. Clearly a very intelligent, visionary and caring young man.
A wonderfully enjoyable couple of hours.
As Carol said in closing the chat
Up The Vale!
BTW I thought Carol's comments regarding Popey are so caring and magnanimous.

Got to say guys it was a brilliant interview but you should take a lot of credit for the excellent way you conducted it.

January Transfers and Rumours

Remember Mel Charles debut. A Friday night game at Crewe and driving along the longest convoy of Vale fans I have ever seen (A500 not built in those days).
He was <ovf censored>, we lost, and we realised he wasn't his brother, the legendary John Charles!
