We are as far out as 9/1 for relegation.
Bookies are never wrong!

He can score as many as he wants tomorrow, they won't count towards Saturday.
Tomorrow is Saturday .... hey up shouldn't have opened that Plum Porter!
BTW Sky saying deals can still be completed until 1am.

C'mon Lofty get that first goal tomorrow and let's see the real Ryan Loft.

So that means for 2nd half of the season with our backs to the wall, we have only 60 min Wilson (For the time being) Loft, Massey and Dipepa.
Not good enough.

Frightening isn't it.

It's been a very quiet window at top level so maybe that has stopped many moves cascading down.

Arblaster isn't a striker anyway is he!

Looks like we will all be praying you are wrong lads.

We haven't seen Lofty fully fit and playing 90 mins alongside Wilson.
OK 60 minutes alongside Wilson.

Beginning to think that we might be relying on Lofty to find some goals once he has been given an extended run with Wilson.

Nippy how do you know 'the backroom staff needs scaling back considerably'? Or is it just your opinion?
Similarly perhaps the 'rush into the abyss' that worries you is down to the fact the only way we can head up the league is by gaining points and that requires positive results in matches. We have only played two matches this month. One a high scoring draw and the other a very narrow defeat against the league leaders.

Rob can you start a new thread relating to the pitch incursion and ship all the comments above to it.
Perhaps then we can, finally, get back on topic please.

Nippy, I dont think any of us are 'happy and positive' at the minute but your posts seem to show 'Desperation' with a capital D, and no loyalty to the person who without doubt saved Vale, put us on the road to recovery via promotion, and invested huge sums of money into 'ground improvements'.
Yet you seem intent on throwing all that loyalty and commitment into a bin and take a gamble on any 'consortium' who has money.
One thing in life is very true. People with money smell opportunities to make more money.
Personally, and I think I am not alone in saying this, I think we have one of the best Club Owners in football at any level.
We are currently in our second season in this league, second season syndrome, and struggling with long term injuries.
Keep the faith, mate.

As I interpreted it, Robbie seemed to state in his interview with our media team the reason he has not attempted to get involved before was because a certain type of character, that he didn't want to associate with, became Football Club Owners & Directors.
However, now Carol has ownership he is happy to get more involved.
Perhaps, those being critical of Carol and wanting her to sell up might like to take Rob's comments on board.

I hope that is a plan. I can’t blame the club for wanting that. Only time will tell. Trouble is, it will mean Robbie will have to be on board more than he has been and 30 years of him being our star fan has amounted to not really that much in the past.

I thought today's team was probably the best we have.
However, we were outclassed.

Sorry to go back to a previous point earlier this week but….
From the kick off tonight Man City kicked it directly to the GK and he kicked long.If it’s good enough for Pep it will do for me.
Yeah but our players aren't Man City quality are they?
So when they get it from the keeper and cock it up, and gift goals, and we are all supposed to be happy?
You stay happy with the possession stats whilst i look at a scoreline that sees us passing it back into league 2.

Anybody watch Chelsea v Middlesbrough the other night and the total fallout in the game & after the game on how Middlesbrough played?
Too right Brian. They had got to the semi finals of a national competition.
Their fans, like ours against them, knew that if they tried to beat them at their own game it would be lambs to the slaughter.

Will be happier when games played are level and we have won at least 1 drawn 1.

Watch. Watch football and see for yourself!
Strangely Tony I regularly watch football. In addition to Vale (ST holder) Leek Town (ST holder), Kidsgrove Athletic, Hanley Town and even Abbey Hulton United I do.
All the above enable me to watch a football match without VAR taking the piss out of the spectators who have turned up to watch a football match.
Only at the Vale do I see the player taking the kick off passing it directly back to the goal keeper.
I have no desire to see other aspects of modern football such as deliberate outright cheating by players to 'win' penalties, get opponents sent off by simulating / exaggerating injury. Etc etc
The fact that a player can commit over 200 betting offences and managing to be back playing the game within 8 months instead of being banned 'sine die' from professional football within the jurisdiction of the FA is an indictment of how low the professional game has sunk.
Modern day football is, in many cases, corrupt and a total embarrassment in educating children. It is the antithesis of the definition of what sport used to stand for.
So my friend I do watch football, but at a level where the match is a sporting occasion to entertain and excite by scoring more goals than the opposition. Back passing to the keeper from the kick off followed by passing across the back line, followed by passing back to the keeper again, does nor meet any of the above criteria of a football match. IMHO.
Tell me, Tony, do you actually watch football or just a sad parody of ... the once beautiful game?

Maybe Walters & Brazier do not want to stop at Vale and they see their career path is better suited elsewhere.
Both players, like all players, will not be bothered one bit about showing loyalty to the Vale or any other club.
Mmm lifestyle in Barcelona or Boslem? and too young to drink in the Bulls !
Tough one. 😆

Every time I listen to the coverage I hear managers respecting as we're so difficult to play against. Granted, they might just be being polite but I don't think so. Being a scrapping, ugly team to play against is one thing, but being good at playing football and moving things aroun (as well as being hard to breakdown/beat) is far better. Just my humble opinion.
I'm rather pleased and encouraged about what we're becoming.
If we are good at playing football and lose surely it means the opposition are better than us at playing football.
If a Manager comes on and says we are an awful team to have to play against (Evans's Stevenage style) surely that means we have played ugly and won?
I know which I prefer.
Surely we have to have a Plan B where we have the players capable of switching to 'ugly' when tippy tappy ain't working!

Which club in the bottom 4 has a striker who has netted 10 goals this season. Any?
We have players who could score. The problem is we don't get the ball forward quickly enough to break the back line as others do against us!
