  1. I asked him and he said "yes I will be leaving if there is a good reason for it"
  2. What game are you watching? Might be 45 minutes in the future
  3. True. Still the fact people want carol gone is ridiculous. She cares about the club.
  4. There is someone out there that would buy the club but its more likely they will be a <ovf censored> owner than someone like carol who cares. Plus now she has loads more money. So why do we want her gone? Not many owners with that cash
  5. If she said they're <ovf censored> I don't think we would have any chance of staying up. The players wouldn't be arsed. Even if Carol knows they're <ovf censored> she shouldn't say it. Better off telling fans the players are great and we should get behind them. Atleast then we have more of a fighting chance.
  6. I'm not wrong. Who can be arsed owning our club. I bet there are life long fans out there with the money that wouldn't want to. Its a big big job.
  7. I don't think they would be interested in a club in a state as bad as ours.
  8. She isn't going to say there <ovf censored> is she. Go on who else do you think can be arsed owning a club like this?
  9. I agree but she doesn't need to go
  10. You have any better owners on your mind? Robbie? Don't think so. Who else then?
  11. Darren has one week to do something here. He has experienced coaches who can hopefully turn this <ovf censored> heap into something good. Better see some effort on Saturday. The teams moral looked <ovf censored> yesterday. We didn't compete at any point with Derby. This season I've seen us really put a shift in against teams just as good. I've not seen such a bad effort since Middlesbrough. Derby didn't even have to try. I predict the game on sat will be a win, loss or draw. Utv
  12. If we stay up we need to get rid of Flitcroft. I still think it's possible that flitcroft might not have been given the budget he has needed by Carol.
  13. I totally agree with both of you. Under Crosby it looked like the players really tried. Under dm the team has looked better at times but yesterday was shocking. it looked like Sunday league football. Let's hope dm gets the players working in training this week.
  14. If we go down there needs to be a full explanation on what has been happening regarding recruitment. Some of the players on that pitch have been shocking. Is it a lack of skill or has the confidence been knocked out of them after loss after loss? I imagine it's both. If we want any chance of staying up we need to get behind the team. That's all we can do. Utv
  15. I can't disagree to be fair
  16. The plan: (Made simple for <ovf censored> heads) Running a football club with limited financial resources requires careful planning, strategic decision-making, and a focus on long term sustainability. Here are some key principles that such a club should consider lads: 1. Financial prudence:The club should prioritize financial stability above short-term success. This means avoiding excessive spending on player wages and transfer fees that could lead to financial strain. Implementing strict budgeting and financial controls is essential to ensure that the club operates within its means. 2. Investing in youth development: Developing a strong youth academy can be a cost-effective way to nurture homegrown talent and provide a pipeline of players for the first team. By investing in youth development programs, the club can reduce reliance on expensive transfers and build a strong foundation for the future. 3. Scouting and recruitment: Instead of competing for high priced signings in the transfer market, the club should focus on scouting and recruiting talented players with potential. This requires a robust scouting network and a thorough analysis of player performance and potential. Signing players on free transfers or loan deals can also be a cost effective strategy. 4. Maximizing revenue streams: While the club may not have the financial resources of larger clubs, it can still explore opportunities to maximize revenue streams. This could include increasing ticket sales through affordable pricing, securing sponsorship deals with local businesses and leveraging digital and merchandising opportunities to engage fan and generate additional income. 5. Community engagement: Building strong ties with the local community can provide valuable support and resources for the club. This could involve hosting community events, engaging with local schools and youth organizations, and partnering with local busineses to promote the club and its activities. A loyal and engaged fan base can provide crucial support, both financially and emotionally, during challenging times. 6. Long term planning: The club should adopt a strategic approach to planning, with clear short-term and long-term objectives. This includes setting realistic targets for on field performance, financial sustainability, and infrastructure development. By establishing a clear vision and direction, the club can make informed decisions that support its overall goals. Overall, running a football club with limited financial resources requires a combination of prudent financial management, strategic planning, and a focus on building strong relationships with fans and the local comunity. By prioritizing sustainability and investin in the development of homegrown talent, such a club can overcome financial challenges and thrive in the long term etc etc etc. I imagine this is what df is going for. Lets put it simple, he isnt there yet.
