If we want to go anywhere we need a dof. All top 10 sides in the top 4 league in England have dofs. Just because flitcroft did a bad job doesn't mean every other dof is bad. Wasn't saying this when we got promoted were u. This year his recruitment has been shocking. His plan on paper made complete sense. However he executed this plan badly.
"This has been tried and tested" Yes and it proves dofs are an essential part of a football club these day.

With what do you mean to buy new players with that will make this side a sold div 1 club in div 2. Without investment this will never be achievable and we will just bob around the bottom of Div 2 again like previously.
Looking at the accounts we have employed more people than ever before, owe more and so just doesn't make sense how the club can fund better players to get us out of Div 2 on the first go. The first team needs to be overhauled and better strikers, midfield and defenders brought in to do that - sorry can't see that happening. Oh no - I forgot we have the youngsters coming through will be forced into the first team instead of going out and getting the proper experience they need to develop into Div 1 standard players.
Ye we will be left with a <ovf censored> squad. That's why ideally we need a dof or head scout to find player that fit within our budget and are good enough to fight for promotion back up to league 1

If Carol is going to fix hers and Flitcrofts mistakes then we need to do it properly. Players who have been there and done it, played in their specialist position. Not spending the same amount of money on players that can play 3 positions but are <ovf censored> in every one of them.
Ye mate you just explained what a solid league 2 squad is. A league 1 squad in league 2. Garrity ojo chiz I think will be gone next season.

Get a new dof in who with Darren more build a squad to maintain league 1 status. If we stay up. If we go down we should build a solid league 2 side as a foundation for when we are prompted to league 1.

He probably will though that's the thing. He's a decent player when he trys. We have some good midfielders who will probably be gone next year. Oh ye don't forget Grant and Sang might be gone too. I think most teams know Grant and Sang are midfielders not wingback. Good midfields too. Unless we play them in midfield when Ojo, Garrity and chiz are gone. If we go down its gonna be rough. If we stay up we have a good midfield to build around.

I was saying its good we finally improved our facilities. Wasnt gonna happen on its own. Look at depepa he's a product of the academy and someone we can sell on.
I never said it was a good thing not investing in the first team.

OK a good league 2 side but a good league 2 side like us or forest Green isn't the same in league 1.

I said we can do well in league 2 providing we build on our squad when we are down there. I also said when we came up we never build on our squad leading to our current position. In fact I think we have built back making the squad worse.

Ye we did have a mediocre L2 squad and only just made play offs. We didn't build on th squad and barely survived. We didn't build again and now we are vout to get relegated with our league 2 squad.
