It must be hard when all the managers and no doubt players all have media training these days; it often just feels so sanitised and a bit of a waste of time, as a football fan.

Maybe it's just the clips that get posted online as Radio Stoke doesn't reach down here that don't do him justice. I do like him generally.

Is there any point when he just gives them the answers anyway? Don't think the fella has ever learned what an open question is. Always asks the same old tripe like "You must be disappointed with that performance" which is of course not even a question.

If anyone's vaguely interested, the Reading fan at my work said that Mighten looked good last night, and was surprised we took him off. Hopefully "getting some minutes into him" can only help this thoroughly depressing situation.

Woman at work who is a Reading fan says they are having a "red card protest" tonight (i.e. all holding up red cards) - I asked if she'd got her tennis balls ready as Vale would really quite like 3 points.

Spot on, BV. I went to the Boro game, my first match this season, and possibly my only. I can't be arsed to make it work around differing personal circumstances, and other things are definitely taking priority at the moment. Put bluntly, nothing is making me want to go at present.
