I'm sure DF is already doing it but, if I was him, I'd be making presentations to every Champ/Prem club and saying let me tell you about the story of Devine and The Blaster and getting as many loan offers as we can.

I'd have Gibbo back but only as an emergency thing till the end of the season. We have enough injured players on the books right now. My preference would be to find someone from either lower leagues that we can buy and develop or a loan from Champ/Prem - if it's good enough for Plymouth to get promoted I'm all for it.

I'd love to see Vale go out and splash the cash and buy a Jamie Proctor type of player, someone who can play well with his head and feet but, more importantly, go and mess with defenders heads.

But the suggests that all the others are 'bad' - some of them I'd class as OK but not bad. However, we still need to clear out those that clearly are not up to the job and replace with better.

Can't see Smudger going. I'd be happy if Uche and/or Loft went. Think Loft is getting better but still not the right bloke for me. I'd also love to see Massey moved on too.

I'm in the same camp as a couple of others on here; I think Loft will come good. I also think we should consider Conlon to put in the LWB position; he could easily play defence and get forward - got a very good left foot, knows the team and the way we play. Surprised its not been tried already. Would love Harrat back here if/when he's recovered, though from the looks of that photo that could be months. Could we get him over the summer ...?? Outside of that - urgently need a Popey style forward. Either someone on loan from Championship/Prem or buy from none-league...??

I know i'll get pelters her for saying this but I wouldnt want Gibbo back. Love the bones of the man BUT: a) his injuries are a problem and we've got enough players with massive injury issues. b) "IF" we want to get in to the Championship, we need to be recruiting players who can play there. I dont think Gibbo is the answer; the only we should do that is to sign him on a short term measure. Tin hat on..

For me I think we'll end up spending on another striker and a left back in January and, now that we've got an "in" to teams in the Championship and Premier League, we'll also try and get a loan from higher up in the Striker Dept. Once we have our full squad back and weve added a couple more players, we could get back to the sort of results we had at the start of the season. Be lovely to get a result tonight. I'd also love us to score more than one goal to shut people up/give AC a bit of breathing space so the club can concentrate on something else than people losing their <ovf censored>
