Whoever we pick, I'd love to see Vale play a strong press. Don't let the opposition settle and relax on the ball; keep at them and nip at people at every touch of the ball. Make us horrible to play against. Turn Vale Park into a place teams DO NOT want to come. Outside of that fast, attacking, exciting football - if we lost 0-3 against another good team but we just laid a glove every few seconds on them, I wouldn't care. But I'd like to see us play with some passion and umppphhh.

Just been on Facache and there's people on there calling for tennis balls to be thrown on the pitch. Bloody stupid. As if it isn't bad enough to be in the position that we're in, we don't need <ovf censored> throwing stuff on the pitch, causing the team even more embarrassment and picking up a fine from the FA, which will further reduce the money in the budget. Some people haven't got the brains they were born with.

Agreed. The immediate problem comes in that, no matter what Carol does - we can bring in Alex Ferguson as manager and recruit Messi, Mendy, van Dyke and de Bruyne and it would still not be good enough for most people on here. Whatever she does, whatever money she spends, it will never ever be enough and I fear some sections of the crowd are already turning her into a figure of hate.

Agreed. Seems a desperate attempt by someone to stir something up to produce anything to beat the club over the head again. That's the last thing that we need now; we need some cool heads to come up with a plan of how we're going to get out of this situation AND for that plan to be communicated to us, the fans. We all then need to get behind the plan and survive the season. Once the season is over - then we can start to do an autopsy and look at culprits.

All I want to ask you is, if you genuinely feel this way about Carol, et el, and the club, why dont you go and support another team...?? Genuine question - no chucking my toys out of the cot. Just go and pay your money elsewhere. For the record, i've known the Shanahans for over 30 years - I know Kevin far better than I know Carol. They're two of the nicest people i've ever met; they also run a massively successful business and are held in very high regards in the IT world. Further, for her work in the community, she was awarded an OBE. Again, if you are not happy you have the option to go and spend your money elsewhere.
