Only with us it seems though. We must have something going on behind the scenes with the pitches, care, or whatever it may be for players to pick up so many muscle injuries.

He was out for 2/3 months last year and was also injured at the start of this season. So it’s not just with us.

My priority signing would be Gibbo. Make him captain and get some full blooded commitment and nastiness in our team to start the culture change.

Also I'd be looking at winger Jack Nolan only 22. The goal involvement king (17 goals 8 assists) of L2 last season and is out of contract.

Both with a view to playing predominantly 4231/442/343 next season.

I don’t understand the clamour for Gibbo. I loved him when he was here. But the bloke’s a known crock.

How can people (rightly) complain about Wilson’s injury record but then advocate for someone else with one just as bad?

Uche Mk II is one of the strangest footballers I’ve ever seen. Too slow and no stamina for the amount of running required for a centre forward. Disproportionate amount of upper body strength, shields the ball well but wins very few headers. Can’t hit a barn door and his all round play isn’t good enough to overlook that.

He's been the second most disastrous centre forward signing we’ve made this season.

I’m not falling into the trap of thinking some of our players might be better next year simply because they’re in a lower league. Sitters like the one on Saturday don’t get any easier in League Two.

Only difference with Uche is he had a two seasons in league 2 where he scored 19 in 69, which is a respectable goals total. Loft by comparison has played 106 in league 2 and scored 17. So if somehow we can replicate that version of Uche we have a solid striker who will do as a 2nd/3rd choice.

  4. If we have another season watching those two donkeys up front we are going down. I’d rather Uche than loft, but since some moron gave Loft a 2 year deal, we should not be offering Uche anything.

Uche did manage one season a few years back in league 2 where he scored about 15 (Christ knows how), got to pray he comes back a changed man.

Personally I never enjoy Crewe or Walsall. Horrible games.

Solihull be good. Depending on ticket allocation. Looks as though it could be about 1400.

I’d love Solihull with me being Birmingham based. Bloody hope it’s not Bromley, be a right arse to get to that would.

Ryan Bowman has been let go by Shrewsbury, he'd be someone I'd be looking at.

I initially thought this too, but he’s 33 in November and last two seasons has had a poor record. Hard to tell without seeing him play but maybe his legs have gone? And I’d imagine he wouldn’t come for peanuts.

    Arblaster for me

But don’t think there should be an awards night in a relegation season.

I’m sure if garrity did win it he would be embarrassed

I agree shouldn’t be an awards night but it seems like we’ve forgotten it again. We’ve given out awards every year for the past 50 odd years. It’s part of the clubs history. And Garrity deserves it, as does Dipepa for young POTY.

I've got nothing against Smith personally and I don't actively want anyone punch anyone .

Just going on the fact there always falling out .

To be honest he as being one of the better players and that worries me deeply .

I'm fed up of the lot of them be honest.

Yes there's being worse for sure .

    Let's agree to disagree.

Folk cannot stand me I get that (its no big deal I'm.not on here to be popular I'm on here to say what I see if I'm the only one seeing it then really my opinion is of no substance or of no value ).

Like I say football's a game of high passion for me ,I haven't spent 32 years of my life encouraging Vale, to the core to be accepting of the current squad we have on the pitch now .

Falling out with folk is fair enough if justified ,it's not if folk are having a pop at me just because they have a different view ,ok at times what I type is out of order and I apologise for that ,but it usually comes when someone's wound me up to a point that I cannot stop myself and maybe I should

If you go every game and come away and go this player always plays well and throws himself at the ball ,and the opposition are not scoring what I call easy goals (where there is no one actually with in a yard of them )then how  can you  justify the goals conceded 145 in two seasons (could be more could be less )I think I when i read folk praising I think how bizarre that's just me though fella.

Wouldn’t say people on here can’t stand you. I certainly enjoy your posts - don’t necessarily agree with everything (but find me any two people on here who’ll agree on everything). Plus I like your passion 👍

  9. Haven’t seen anything about it again - thought the club apologised for doing it so poorly last year, seems they’ve repeated things. I get we’ve been relegated but we’ve had one every year since the 60s.

Who would everyone’s choice be? For me it’s easily Garrity, with honourable mentions to Chislett and Ripley. Imagine it would’ve been arblaster if he’d been here the full year.

Not too shabby with a rolling ball. His corners have been embarrassing though

It’s embarrassing in general how bad we are at set pieces. At times we’ve had in the box on corners: Loft, Uche, Garrity, Smith, Debrah and Iacovitti. Very few teams, if any, have the height to combat that. Should have taken more advantage of it.

  11. How anyone could say smith is worst player of the season is a joke. He was crap when being played on the right of the back 3 by Crosby. At the time numerous fans said he couldn’t play there, why Crosby didn’t see this I don’t know.

Wouldn’t make sense to get rid of smith imo. We have far greater problems. Maybe focus on getting rid of and replacing the yak, Jones, Debrah and Lowe first.

The only stat that matters is 0 - 0. They have some very very good players.  I'm not sure that any of our 11 would get on their bench. Listened to the home audio on iplayer going home from the beach prior to kickoff. They are prone to losing games on the counter when all over teams. Think that is the only hope. There is no way we have the players to play this Bolton side off the park.

0-0 isn’t good enough, we have to win.
