Doesn't seem the brightest of ideas to cancel the contract of a fit striker at a time when we're critically short of strikers.

At this point even Leutwiler couldn’t do worse. People saying Loft has done ok recently because he’s ran around a bit. I could do that, doesn’t make me a good striker.

  2. I don’t agree with booing him and personally wouldn’t boo players unless they’re not putting the effort in. But I’ve been watching vale since the early 2000s, and he is by far the worst striker I’ve ever seen. It’s not even close. Agree it’s probably best for both parties to just leave him out the squad. Not fair on him getting booed, and not fair on us pay to watch him play football

  3. I’m also a Smith fan, but he’s had a poor season. Partially down to him obviously, but we’ve used him wrong.

In the promotion season, we played him in the middle, with two mobile centre halves either side of him who pushed forwards and attacked. All he had to do was head and kick it. And then pass it to either of his fellow centre halves, or Tom Pett.

This season we’ve been asking him to play football, when we know that’s his weakness. Why?

Look, have me blocked, do whatever you want.

Your Club has made a HUGE mistake here and a 5 and a half year deal, what!!!!????.  All us up here cannot believe he has got this gig. It’s laughable.

It doesn’t matter if I post or not.

Flircroft, Carol, the Players. There is only so much time you can keep blaming them.

Unfortunately you are in for a torrid time with him at the helm.

    Enjoy the interviews…….

Bore off will you. You’ve not seen our squad. It would struggle in the national league. Can hardly blame Moore for the shitshow we witnessed up until now. We’ve won 3 in almost 30 games.

I do agree, we are going to get relegated.
However she is obviously an intelligent woman. She will now be wiser to the absurdity of football finances. Unfortunately she has fallen for both the <ovf censored> of Flitcroft and the modern infatuation that you have to make going to football matches an all over experience. Throwing in all sorts of ancillary things that mean nothing to football fans.

    1. The most important thing is to see our team win. We don't need a fan zone. We just want to get to our seat and watch a decent game of football. A burger van and some bovril from a rickety tea bar will do

    2. The biggest buzz we will get is watching our team fight back from a couple of goals down with a last minute winner. We will remember that. The buzz will last for weeks. Some crap we bought in the fan zone, we won't give a <ovf censored> about. We certainly won't remember some DJ playing needless excessive music

    3. We don't care if the stand we sit in is old and decrepit. We just want to watch a decent match.

    4. We are Port Vale not Man City. We don't care if we are are championship ready or not. We just want to go out for a few beers on a Saturday night with that buzz that we have just watched a great game or at least a win. We know who we are, what we are. We don't expect promotion to the championship. Just to be competitive.

    5. Oh and what is this <ovf censored> about campuses. Someone update me on that.

Darren says the first goal was a bizarre goal. I can think of better words to use than that! I thought he was a tough character who won’t take any nonsense. Far too much of a nice guy I’m sorry nice guys won’t cut it. The whole club is full of ‘ nice guys ‘

I don’t think he’s suited to relegation battles. Needed someone like Clarke who’s not afraid to give them a boot up the arse.

Chislett kept dribbling in the wrong areas giving the ball away. Wilson is a poor target man. Deborah looked OK to me. Sang has the ability but is very short of confidence. Weir is coming along. Smith and Jones threw the game away.

We were not worse than Lincoln today. The stats other than the goals say that. That's not to say either side were much kop.

Yes should’ve been a draw, but sadly two braindead idiots ruined it.

  8. Having seen their first goal again, it’s even worse than I thought. After giving it away the efforts of smith and Debrah to get back in are a disgrace. Just jogging over. If they both sprint back their player’s still got to beat two defenders, and it gives ripley more time to get back in position.

Carol has been good for this club. And I believe still will be in the future. There is not a long line of investors with millions of pounds to kiss goodbye for no return. Ask fans of Rochdale and Torquay. Football finances in the lower leagues have really hit the stupid button.
Remember when Carol took over we were having crowds of around 4,000 and allegedly close to breaking even. Now crowds of 6,500 can't break even.
Unfortunately, Carol is or has been naive of the workings and ridiculous business models of football club. She has then been taken in by the sweet talking of a man who is incompetent in his role and has previously overseen the financial demise of another club.
Hopefully now wiser Carol can reset, get rid of Flitcroft and move on. Get on with team first, everything else second.

What makes you think she’s wiser. She is utterly deluded. Talking about bloody campuses, get real! We’re going to be in league 2!

I wouldn’t blame Moore for binning us of tbh. This is arguably a worse squad than Brown/ Bruno relegation. The question is not whether we’ll go down, but whether we’ll finish bottom. Absolutely garbage.

Nothing to argue about. Bruno/Brown squad would turn us over.

  11. If Carol doesn’t sack Flitcroft by the end of the season, she can do one as well.

We are being taken for mugs. By the end of the season I’ll have easily spent over a grand following vale up and down the country. That’s a significant amount of money for me. And I’m treated to watching these pathetic excuses for footballers every week. I wouldn’t have half of them in the national league. Meanwhile the likes of burton staying up on a shoestring budget.

Then, when we dare complain about the dross being served up, we get a condescending open letter. She can shove it.

For me, Carol needs to try and sell up as soon as possible. I just don't see the club progressing under her, try as she might. She doesn't have a clue. Her blind faith in Flitcroft proves that.

I’ve fully turned now. If she’s not gonna wake up and smell the coffee, she can <ovf censored> off with Flitcroft
