Player of the season contest is Ripley or Chislett or Garrity.
Maybe Smith gets nomination for worst player?
No chance Smith.
Huge list ahead of him.
Jones, Debrah, Massey, Loft, Grant and Lowe . That's without even racking my brain properly.

How anyone could say smith is worst player of the season is a joke. He was crap when being played on the right of the back 3 by Crosby. At the time numerous fans said he couldn’t play there, why Crosby didn’t see this I don’t know.
Wouldn’t make sense to get rid of smith imo. We have far greater problems. Maybe focus on getting rid of and replacing the yak, Jones, Debrah and Lowe first.
Some of Debrah defending yesterday was beyond a joke. Looks like he's won a raffle to play.
Smith has been poor 100%. But he's nowhere near our worst culprit at the back.

Don't get the love in with Clark TBH. He's got just as much of an injury record as Wilson and Jones - don't see why he should be exempt.
Spot on. Has he even played double figures ?
Another perennially injured crock.

Do we keep Chislett or sell him? Charlton story on him or agent already at work?

If that's Football league world it's just speculative journalism.
However I'd be amazed if he doesn't attract interest. Had a few critics on here but his stats are impressive in an appalling team.

I can see someone paying off Ripley contract and snapping him up... Too good for league two.
Serial loser though.
Sure a few years ago there was a player relegated numerous times with different clubs.
I like Ripley. Bit too emotional and hot headed but playing behind that defence it's no wonder.

Wasn't that the lad from Bradford who scored for fun at Swindon? ah just remembered Young was his name, has he been playing for Bradford? maybe still a target
Well he didn't name him . I'd of said the two I mentioned were the best 2 in the division. Let's remember Young couldn't get in the team and hit a hot streak.
Who knows with DF. Hot air little substance.
He scored 11 in 80 games. Then suddenly 16 in 25 at Swindon. Out with hamstring injury so he'd fit perfectly 😉

The basis is who is on the pitch, the players, their backgrounds in the game and how far they are in standard behind those in even the most average league 1 squad.
It is not a league 1 squad with league 1 players. We have not a single player who was a proven league 1 regular when we signed them. Maybe Massey or Ojo but the rest? Cheap punts or crocks.
You don't need to be a genius to compare signing Uche and Wilson with a lower end budget do you.
Alfie May quite possibly could of been a realistic target. Cheltenham are a smaller fish than us. Double his wages. Instead he went to Charlton.
Our departed DOF claimed ( personally think it's fantasy island talk ), that we went in for the best striker in League 2. So in my eyes thats Mullen or Langstaff. No proof have I but what a load of hot air . No chance we were in for them.
We might at a push of got a Sutton player.
You get what you pay for.

Just dawned on me that we scored once in our last 8 away games ( Burton).
Another impressive achievement to get 7 nils when " fighting " the drop.

The strange /disappointing aspect is that as a player he was horrible. I'd of hated to be a centre forward against him.
Yet he's mild mannered and looks incapable of handing out any sort of rollicking at all. Very very underwhelming.

Chesterfield as per Badboybubba.
Mk if stay down, Doncaster finished season on fire. One of relegation clubs other than us.
Not us is what I'm saying.

On ifollow the camera shot over to the Vale fans at the end and it looked as though a good 75%+ were all on their feet clapping, unbelievably.
Mind you why am I surprised.
Plenty thought 3-0 at Peterborough was acceptable didn't they.

They all hurt! But my point is that historically, being a PV fan entails lots of ups & downs, metaphorically as well as literally. I suspect this one "hurts more" because of the 'surrender' of the second half of this season.
This hurts more I agree with others.
Why ?
Because allegedly we're a work in progress. Plymouth the template. Best state the clubs been in 20 years. All the off pitch facilities you could wish for. Great recruitment strategy. Blah blah blah.
This was coming months back. November in fact. All so so avoidable.
As soon as Uche went off v Pompey our recruitment bloke ought to of been on the phone every given hour. We needed a striker anyway. Without Uche we needed two. We got none.
All so so avoidable and has set us back immensely. Promotion wasted and to me not back to square one because then we had Clarkey. Farcical.

Anyway those brave enough to go.
What happened at the end ? Did the players come over? How were they met, indifference, abuse, apathy or applause?

We all didn't like the cosy cosy talk of David.
The more I think about it . Let's stop this Carol malarkey. She's not our cuddly mate. She owns our club. A temporary custodian.
Mrs S or Carol Shanahan will suffice.

Mrs S . Well done. Phenomenal. The coaches wives know how good we are. Darren knew the first 3 games we'd lose. We'll see the real Port vale on Tuesday night .
Oh dear
