Can't see much changing today and no doubt we will again have another window that the side gets worse rather than better. The clubs around us have improved theirs. Hope/Heart - we will be okay and just scrape a Lg 1 place. Then the hard task of rebuilding a team - hopefully with better strikers, midfield and defence. At least we have 2 cracking goal keepers. Worse feeling - we will actually finish bottom of the league as yet again another Jan window we have got worse, while the clubs below and around us have improved their squads. Well apart from Reading. But they will beat us and we will be in the bottom 4. Saturday - you hope the side actually turn up and win. Again - sorry we will roll over and they will score with ease and not even get out of first gear. We will have most of the possession in our half. Their goal area will show we had a few tame shots and we will loose 2 nil. AC will say we will learn from this and it was a really good loss, as the players played the possession - passing game better.

Give you that one as well. I went with the opposition that plays us.

Thing is the club probably would pay for the statue, as its a community thing and then say no to paying for a striker - as we may be getting one next season.

It seems to be done to take some pressure off the side not producing the goods at the moment, fans getting restless/complaining about that and the lack of better players coming into the club. But next transfer window we will be getting foreign strikers - hasn't that been tried before and it didn't work and we were only in the 2nd Div at the time. Look everyone we have another President at the Club. See all the problems have gone away and its rosy down at Vale Park. Thought it was Sir Rudge in that role. Nope we can now have 2. Still stupid money tho - so 4 episodes 🤣. Bet they are rubbing their hands as we would be if we were in their position. Any money coming into the club is very welcome as it helps with running costs and gives you the chance to bring in better players that would be out of their scope. Just depends when the money dries up, can they still afford the wages they would demand.

Didn't someone quote they get £500K for each episode, so that is just 3 episodes to them out of their series.

You would think so, You see so many clubs struggling now due to high wage bills and unable to pay their bills to staff, HRMC and suppliers. The club seems to be set up to hopefully as they say, be more self funding and not relying on cash injections.

You would hope they have that all covered by advertising and other income to cover infrastructure development as well.

You would think - but Flickers and co may have a different view on that. He may be a couple of quid over the very tight budget rules they work to. They only go to a certain limit and that is it. You would think - but the process we use says - NO - Striker is next season - possibly - just wish Flickers would add a year to the end of next season we are getting a striker. Being saying this for 2 years now and we only seem to get strikers no one else wants, have injury problems and take 8 or 10 games to get near match fitness.

Don't see where the points are going to come from to climb the ladder of safety. We never play well against teams in the relegation zone or on a bad run. We never play well on a Tuesday either. I am worried for our Lg 1 safety. Lady luck will no doubt take out a player each game with a lengthy injury as well. Is our squad capable of fielding a side able to put up a spirited fight.

Sorry but don't see Loft as the saviour and will be able to get us goals. Defence will leak them quicker than he can score them. No striker(or even 2 - young one and an experienced one) in - we will be relegated this year. Another Jan window where we get weaker rather than stronger like other clubs do.

Shame he had issues with temperament. That was what let him down at Vale - you never knew if he would finish a game on the pitch. The commentators are loving Covolan and singing his praises. He is too good at this level - but we know the other side of him.
