    My message to them.

Fans were under the impression due to the EFL selling out to Sky, ifollow was ceasing audio of matches.

If this is the case, then we have been forced to cancel, however, if you continue to broadcast the audio of matches, then I will be subscribing to the service again.

Can someone confirm if the service will be available or cease?

Exeter got Millenic Alli from Halifax in the window and he scored twice against us. There are good strikers in the National League.

But that is no surprise anyone can score against us most of the time due to our ever giving defence and midfield.  🤣.

Agree there are little gems in the non-league, but you just have to have the network to find them.  Did Fraudcroft even consider those leagues.

The fans deserve a share in the club. We won't get it with Carol. At least BB promoted togetherness and made the fans part of the club... Yes it went pear shaped.

But then again, the last 16 months haven't endeared the fans. Little Port Vale please be grateful you are in existence she may as well say it!

Just wondering why you think the fans deserve a share in the club?  The fans have a voice via the fans forum.

The owners bought the club with their own money.  May be I missed things, but when did the fans all club together and put the money down as part payment with the current owners when they paid over the odds to save the club from the blue sihte one.

Just wondering.  Suppose you also think all companies should have given you shares in their company when you haven't paid anything to buying/running of the company.  Same example as the club.

If the owners said we are floating shares in the club and fans can buy shares, then yes those fans would/should have a say in the club is run, but they haven't.

I would have Bill back in a heartbeat. Proper Vale and deserves a second chance... At least he is 1 of us!

Think I would prefer Carol just.

What is the obsession with Sproson? We‘ve signed quite a few players who he was/is the agent for and they were mostly crap.

Not saying only get his players he is an agent for - most will be out of our price range or rubbish.

But speak to him about football related things she is unsure about.  Use Sir Rudge as well as a sounding board.  Use their knowledge and experience in football to help make sure the re-building decisions she has already or trying to make a big decision on are sound ones and will not hurt you or the club further down the line.  If you have a couple of people to sound ideas off, that will help.  Like she probably did with Colin G at the beginning till he moved on.  I have this idea - what do you think?  No it will not work for this reason or it may work, but could fail later on - or if you do it this way it will work better etc.

Specially if he is willing to speak free of charge to the owners.  He sounded like us, really gutted we had gone down and was vocal about the reasons why and what was needed.  Use that knowledge/thoughts and ideas to sort out the problems during the review of the last 2 years disaster Vale have had.

It’s already been stated by the club, the toilets are a bit more than a repair job. Through neglect by previous owners, the concrete roof has caved in, this is a chunk of concrete that probably weighs about 5 tons so when that dropped it probably wiped out every thing inside the bogs.
to do the complete rebuild will mean temporarily loosing the entrance and exit to the railway which would have meant a drastically reduced capacity, that’s why it’s a job for the closed season.

Get some Sjoke fans in they know how to demolish toilets and the roof may fall on them 🤪 🤪

Yep but actions speak louder than words

Fair play to carol for the apology, though

That apology letter has been prepared for the last month and bet the CEO has done the check on it and amended it, as there was only going to be one outcome.  Surprised she didn't get in that the fans were naughty fans for making her sack/move on Fraudcroft and relegation is our fault really.

Lessons learned - may be buy 2 strikers that can last more than a couple of games.  Failed that one after the first 2 transfer windows.  Failed this seasons transfer windows.  Players that are up to the job and not the cheapest option.

That said good luck in the preparing for 2nd Div football, hope you get things sorted and we can start the climb out of this division the right end of it.  Will not be easy due to the clubs here.  Big club - no we are not.  We are just another club in the div.  Carol needs to listen to free advice from those who have been in football a long time.  Sproson could be a good start as he seemed mighty upset by the last 2 season on saturday.

Carol - you still have some credits in the bank for what you and family did.  However, a lot of them have been cashed in over the past 2 years and the letter saying the fans were being naughty.  When you look at it overall, think the fans sussed Fraudcroft out, when certain people were still taken in by his presentations and jargon.  Not saying some of the things he achieved were all bad, but when it came down to recruitment and that was the important one - totally wrong most of the time.

My personal opinion: we cannot just get rid of everyone, it doesn’t work like that. We’d have no money left to sign anyone decent by paying up. So got to be careful and think about who can do a job in L2.

don't forget, we were poor when we played Mansfield, who were unbeaten at the time and have stormed L2, and we played them off the park. There is a gulf between L2 and top half of L1. Our squad wasn’t good enough for L2 but I am confident that there are players there that have done or will do a job at a lower level.

All loan players go back (obviously). Don’t sign any - not been good enough.

    Under contract players to keep:

Connor Ripley - two L1 relegations but stood out in both of those campaigns. Would easily be good enough for a promotion chasing L2 side

Nathan Smith - We know what he can do at L2 level. I do this we need a commanding Leon Legge type defender alongside him though. He’s not a leader to me.

Mitch Clark - been really unlucky this season. Get him back and he’ll be a good player for us

Ben Garrity - nothing more to be said. Got to build the squad around him. Make him captain for me. Just hope he doesn’t force a move or someone else comes in for him. At least we’d get some money though.

Ethan Chislet - copy and paste Garrity (bar the captaincy bit).

Funso Ojo - lost his way a bit but a more than good enough player - should run the show in L2 (look at the Mansfield game, they were top and unbeaten when we played them and we made them look average).

James Plant - we’re ruining him a bit by playing him more defensively. When he first broke through he was fantastic further forward. Let’s get him further up the pitch.

    Shorrock/Lomax - loan them out

Baylee Dipepa - proved himself enough for a part to play in L2.

Jesse Debrah - I do like him. He’s young and has pace which none of our other defenders have. We can improve him, I just think NL to L1 was a step too far, so L2 should be good for him.

    Under contract players to release/undecided

Dan Jones - we already know he is good enough for L2 having been promoted with us before, but he is too injury prone. Could go either way. With his fitness though, I don’t think he would want to end his contract, so might be stuck with him anyway

Tom Sang - trouble with Sang is, he’s becoming a bit of a jack of all trades. He’s not good enough defensively to be a full back or wing back, at least he wasn’t in L1. But he’s still young enough to develop and I’d like to see him in CM.

Ryan Loft - sorry, but a bit of work rate just isn’t enough. Although his strike rate in L2 does work out at one in four. I don’t know what his contract is like but if he’s a higher earner he needs to go. If not, he might be good in the squad.

Connor Grant - same as Sang. I’d love to see him in the middle, he is a tidy footballer. Not defensively good enough or quick enough out wide though.

Alex Iacovitti - sometimes he’s brilliant and sometimes he’s dire. I don’t think we can keep all the centre halves as we need to get at least one better commanding one in. He’d probably be there one of look to move on.

    Out of contract players

Maybe keep Leutwiler as he can’t be on much and is a solid back up, but honestly I’d rather see a younger lad come in and learn.

Give that Wynne a game next week just to see what he’s about.

Keep the academy prospects if they’re good enough or want to stay.

    Release the rest.

Even if all the under contracted players stayed, that gives us a squad of 16. If we add 9 quality additions of top of that, we’d probably be alright.

Aim to get a left wing back, and then an experienced CB (big commanding leader), CM (like Ryan woods at Exeter) and ST (Cameron Jerome?), and hope we can find some more young talent like Ollie and Alfie. Couple more strikers I think we’ll have a good squad for L2

Can see where you went with this and agree mostly.  Offer Leutwiler a further contract as he hasn't had the chance to break into the normal side due to Ripers being fit.  Games he played looked sound and capable player.

However, feel Garrity, Chisslet will be picked up by some Div 1  club - If this happens and the club doesn't try to keep them - just shows how much Carol and Co want to get out of Div 2.

Ojo - Does he want to be here now.  Smith - Became a liability as Captain (is being Captain affecting his playing ability).

See what the season brings - but if any of the contracted players you listed are still here we will be in another relegation battle.  They are full of silly mistakes, not able to track players and not worthy to wear the Vale shirt.

But we wouldn't want it any other way would we? How boring it must be if you're a Man City/Liverpool/Arsenal supporter and not have to worry about the odd relegation! 🙃

You just never know what will happen with Vale.  It never goes like you want it to from one season to another, as something good will happen and then bad.  You sit there wondering, why do I do this week in week out.  But we all do.

Already wondering what the pre-season will bring player wise.  Who will go - please get rid of this years dross somehow.  Who will come in.  The big question - will we get any decent strikers or will there be any strikers bought?  🤣

Could we take that as - I want to get rid of the dross I have inherited and I want to bring my players in.  There are some good players here, but Fraudcroft you brought some real sihte players in.

That’ll be Garrity,Chizzy,Dipepa and possibly the other youngsters.

Just hope the young players are not put back in their development by being forced into this squad.  In other clubs they would be loaned out and get some experience that way.  Vale have shoved them into the team and hoped.  They have actually played better than the experienced players brought in.  What does that say about recruitment.

A '' Shitshow '' of a season, a '' Shitshow on the field '' a '' Shitshow transfer window and some ''Shitshow '' decision making at the top and Dof !

Can we change our club name to '' Burslem Shitshow FC '' ?

This has been over 2 seasons, not just this one.  Last season sowed the seed of failure and we survived and then this season it totally fell apart.

There won’t be anyone there, then she’ll moan her bag off about the lack of interest by the fans in the football club.

The fans could always stay and sing "You know who you are - your <ovf censored> and you know you are"

Feel for some of the Vale players who have showed spirit and fight over this season and been let down by players who shouldn't be at this level. and have let the club, themselves and the fans down.

Simple. I'm a Vale fan - always have been, always will be. Today was a bad day, we're dropping down to EFL2. I hate that.

BUT I love the Vale. Cut me in half and it says Port Vale - like a stick of rick all the way through.

Am I looking forward to life back in 2...?? Like <ovf censored> I am, but I'll do 10 home and 10 away like I always do.  The season after (the way business is going) I'll buy a full season ticket, too.

As the song says - I'm Vale Till I Die m8

    That's why.

I understand and if things change for me I will be travelling 4 hrs there as well.  Mostly to buy a load of oatcakes for the freezer, put some flowers on mum and dads grave, then watch the game.  Spend some money in the shop as well.

Seen this happen to the Vale, so many times, yo-yo club, but the last 2 seasons have hurt so much.  Like many fans, very unhappy, sad and when the season finishes watching for the news of players leaving, players coming in ready for next season.

  15. Listening to Sproy talk about what he thinks has gone wrong and he has said exactly what the fans were thinking and it goes back to 2023.

That is why he hasn't been asked by Carol and Co.  He would tell them to many truths about her ability, the lack of recruitment from 2 years ago.

Carol - its not the fans fault.  You need to look closer to home.

Carol... Could you come out and apologise to the fans and show some remorse?

As far as she is concerned its been a great season and now she can get more community awards with Div 2 on them.

It's all the fans fault as well.  That is the way she will be looking at it.

‘Relegation not in their vocabulary’ I’m so <ovf censored> annoyed and upset I can put into words. Hope they all just do one. Totally avoidable all this

You will need to get used to this being a Vale fan.  There are a few ups, but mainly upsets being a Vale fan.

Still hurts when you see them go down and it could have easily been sorted in Jan transfer window by bringing in a few better players.  Like you upset and totally t'd off with the owners who has allowed it to happen.

I've been a Vale supporter for 70 seasons and there have been many more "sad seasons" than ecstatic ones. It goes with the territory as the younger cohort of fans will also come to understand!

48 seasons for me.  But yes the joy of being a Vale fan.  Getting up in the early hours in sandy clims and the other side of the world to listen on ifollow and then go back bed for a hour or to.  God what we put ourselves through. 🤣

  19. Commentators saying the Vale will need to have a good look at what went wrong this season.  Sproy saying 2 seasons.  How true.

As far as Carol is concerned its been a great 2 seasons as she has picked up loads of awards and needs a few more awards with Div 2 on them.  So she will be happy.

Then she will blame the fans and some how it will be the fans fault as she had to sack fraudcroft due to fan pressure. 😡
