  3. National League newcomers Chorley FC have signed former Port Vale duo Joe Anyon and Louis Dodds. The paid have both been on trial at Chorley, who reached the National League after winning last season’s National League North play-offs.   5. Grimsbly Town been fined £15,000 for failing to control supporters after violence erupted at a League Two game. More than hundred supporters clashed at the Grimsby Town v Port Vale game on 10 March 2018. An FA hearing found Grimsby Town had failed to act on police intelligence about possible violence and had an “insufficient number of stewards” at the match. We conclude our look back over the summer months by focusing on the month of July… Transfer news continued to be the dominant story in July which began with reports of three trialists at the club. Vale ended up fielding five trialists in a game against Kidsgrove. Vale won that game thanks to goals from new strikers Richie Bennett and Mark Cullen.   14. Port Vale coach Dave Kevan has confirmed that three players are injury doubts for their opening game of the season. Vale travel to Colchester United on Saturday and Askey says that Cristian Montano, Ryan Lloyd and Rhys Browne are all set to miss out. The Robins are playing Bromsgrove Sporting on Tuesday night, and plan to field five trialists including the Vale player.   17. Former Port Vale loanee Mitchell Clark has signed for Leicester City. 20 year-old Clark has agreed a three year contract with the Premier League club.
