With our dreadful manager you travel to matches not looking forward to the game, and with very little expectation. This league is not very good highlighted by Vale still being second after such a disastrous run of results. With no disrespect to Walsall how on earth can a team made up of mediocre players and young loanees be 9 points clear with a game in hand. Great credit should go to their management team, they’ve not had the large sums of money at their disposal like Darren Moore, no ludicrous budget. They had a plan of how they wanted to play, signed the best players they could afford to suit this plan, and stuck with it. None of this, keep games tight so you are always in the game and try to pinch it. They have stuck to their plan and gone after teams. Whichever way you want to look at this, either the Walsall management team has managed to put together squad together better than Moore’s for a fraction of the money that Moore has had at his disposal, OR their head and shoulders ahead of Moore and his coaching staff at getting the best out of players ? Take this on board Carol.
