The young forward Donovan Wilson signed on loan for Port Vale from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2018.
Wilson was born in the West County and spent ten years as a junior at Bristol Rovers. He was sent on a brief loan spell with Wolves and impressed enough to be snapped up by Wolves for an undisclosed sum in the 2014 January transfer window.
He made his Port Vale debut as a sub in the 1-1 home draw with Yeovil Town and then scored his first Port Vale goal in a 2-2 draw with Stevenage in March 2018. Ironically, after scoring his first goal for the football club he then failed to make another first-team appearance for the Valiants.
