Port Vale manager Jon Brady has made his fifth transfer window signing bringing in 34 year-old striker Andre Gray.

The 34-year-old striker – who has 115 Premier League appearances to his name – becomes our fifth addition of the January transfer window, having recently left Turkish top-flight side Fatih Karagümrük.

Not sure how I feel about mitch clark going been when fit the man who can
Mitch Clark when fit was heading towards the player of the season award. Brilliant attitude, and is as good going forward as defending. Very strange this one. Hopefully Gray will arrive with a good attitude and will be left to use all his energy in the 18 yard box. Once a goal scorer always a goal scorer. If he still has an appetite and his legs haven’t gone he’s a very good signing!
I really like this signing, albeit a short term deal initially. Gray’s a battle hardened and well proven striker who’s played at all levels including the EPL. He may be past his peak but should have more than enough canny ability to make his mark again in League 1. This might be an extremely clever signing by Brady. If he’s fit and in form, Gray can give a shot shy attack a turbo charged cutting edge in the season’s final 20 games. This signing might give supporters a lot to think about.
At last been saying all along try get older experienced striker ..but to be honest hard to come by ..these days used to be x top players would see there footballing days out at lower league clubs ..like Jimmy greenoff
.ally brown ..etc ..but these days they tend to go into coaching . Or go abroad…if we go down fair enough ..but let’s put up a fight . It could be possible . Hopefully
Its a great move for the club and himself. The fact all his family are just down the M6 just allow him to get quality time with them and more time on his game. Good Luck Andre 😉
Let’s hope he has read the Lee Highes playbook. .
