Port Vale have announced that they have recalled teenager Jack Shorrock from his loan spell at Chester FC.
Shorrock, who can play all across the left flank, is regarded as a top talent by many Vale fans. It appears that new manager Jon Brady wants to assess the player in training.
Shorrock is the youngest player to appear in the Vale first-team as well as the youngest goalscorer. To date he has made 43 appearances for the club, scoring four times.
A club statement said:
Jack Shorrock has today returned to Vale Park after a 3-month loan spell at National League North outfit, Chester FC.
The midfielder made five appearances for The Seals after joining in October, coming up against Marine, Leamington, Hereford and Telford. Jack also featured in the FA Trophy against Clitheroe.
Vale fans what do you think of Shorrock’s return? Post a comment below.

Young enough, good enough
He has a big chance now to cement himself a slot on the left flank, could be a turn point in his career, hope it works out for him
Makes sense, something we have been lacking of .
Glad he’s back, now lets get him on the pitch tuesday
Brilliant decision . Now bring back the others .we need this up and coming talent to grow with our seasoned players …well done to the management
I am not happy that we have sold Curtis today and also put it as an undisclose fee to tell me they have sold cheap to save a backlash from supporters. The only creative player in the game against Blackpool. We needs players going back to there repective club are start building our own players not loans all the time. We have still go a chance to get out the relegation zone and selling players to teams like Plymouth who are in the same situation as Vale is senseless. Brady better start getting the vale players fast or he will become a fall guy.
Mystery why talented Shorrock was loaned out to sixth tier non league Chester, but his return is a very good move. It wouldn’t surprise me if Brady concludes that Shorrock should be in the first team squad as a left winger, adding extra attacking width and flank service to his strikers.
Can we not get Plant and of course Rico Richards (not getting any game time with Walsall)back
We need all loan players back to liven things up
Obviously Curtis was offered more money so wanted to go. No use keeping an unhappy player so not senseless as all! We will use the money plus tv money to bring in a couple I’m sure.
