Congress Longton

I heard many moons ago that the Congress Longton is a Vale pub !.

 

I live at that neck of the Stokie woods which seems to be bereft of us chosen few .

 

Is it a vale pub ?

I dunno I don't get down neck end much.

All I've heard about it is that it's a real ale pub. I've never drank in Longton so don't know much more than that.

I remember in early 90's queuing for a green un in Spar at Saxonfields in my Vale top. A sjoke fan said to his girlfriend: "I aint standing next to that ****". She slapped him 'round the head and told him to stop being a kn08"

I remember drinking in the station hotel normacot watching Vale v stoke on that brill match when we knocked the lardies out of the autoglass trophy.

 

Yet again in a stoke pub,vanders got that brill goal & we knocked em out.

 

Of course I celebrated they were crying in their beer that night trying to get me to admit that the best team lost !
