Can you sponsor robf in the London Marathon?

Hello all,

In April I will be running the London Marathon in aid of the North Staffs Carers Association.

It will be my first Marathon but I have been in five months of training including two 10Ks and two half-marathons so I am confident of completing the longer distance.

The organisation I am trying to raise funds for is a smaller charity which doesn't get the exposure (and funding) of some of the more well-known charities. Nevertheless, North Staffs Carers have been a huge support for my mum as she cares for my dad, who suffers from dementia.

If you would like to sponsor me please visit my Just Giving page here:

Thank you,

Rob

Hi all,

Twenty days to go and after a 22 mile run at the weekend, the long distance training has finally ended. I'm now pretty confident I can do it and it's now a case of tapering (allowing me to recover a bit by lowering the weekly milage) ahead of the day itself.

I also have an official race number - 14470

If you're interested you can track my progress on the app available from here - https://www.virginmoneylondonmarathon.com/en-gb/event-info/spectator-info/how-follow-virgin-money-london-marathon/

I am not sure exactly when I will finish as there are staggered starts but it's likely to be between 2:30pm and 4:30pm.

Finally, if anyone does want to make a donation, all money is going to North Staffs Carers who do an amazing job.

You can sponsor me here - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rob-fielding-london-marathon-2019

Thanks,

Rob

Copied off Facebook for those who didn't see it. The big day (for me) is almost here...

So, five months on... after several hundred miles of evening/weekend runs, dozens of nightly core exercise routines ,half a dozen physio visits and the completion of the Hampton Court half-marathon my training for the London Marathon finally ends tonight. With days to go, I feel pretty darn fit (touch wood), ready and somewhat nervous. You can track me on the London Marathon website/app by runner number 14470. I'm doing all of this to raise money for the North Staffs Carers association, so if you'd like to sponsor me you can do here - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rob-fielding-london-marathon-2019
