No worries mate. Enjoyed it myself.

I've often castigated people for going the ex-player route and obviously won't happen here now.

But can't help thinking Leggy would be an excellent coach or even future manager for someone.

Doesn't suffer fools gladly and talks lots of sense in a calm fashion. Was excellent for us until his legs started going.

He clearly would be a good defensive coach. Positionally rarely out of step unless he was done for pace. Knows how to attack and defend set pieces and talked the less experienced players through the game.

I would say the rift is probably smaller if the club has actually sat down with fans and listened to their concerns.  As I asked another poster above, what more did you want to know about the meeting?

I think the majority of fans want to know what we discussed regarding DF. I'm sure that Carol won't have said he's getting sacked in the morning so don't worry, but was there any mention of accountability if we were to be relegated? Are they reviewing his work in the transfer windows in the last few months? Is there an understanding that some fans are prepared to give up their season tickets unless this person is removed from the club, and if so, are the club prepared to back DF and lose these fans in the process?

Fans are looking for transparency and the statement released offers none of it.

If dialogue has been opening the status quo has not been maintained.

Is the rift between fans and club greater, smaller or the same as before?

My answer is the same, if not worse, as fans are frustrated by the lack of communication regarding this meeting, the lack of transparency on what was communicated and the outcomes of the meeting.

Would you seriously have expected to have achieved that after one meeting?  Would you seriously have expected the D o F to be sacked by the club after one meeting with fans?

I didn't say I expected him to be sacked.

I asked what the purpose of the meeting was and if it achieved it's objectives.

I don't think it has achieved anything unless it was to maintain the infighting and discontent amongst supporters

  5. I think you are being a little harsh on these groups that are trying to do good for the club with very little reward.

But I do agree, without any real explanation of the meeting it hasn't done anything to appease the general supporter who wants info. You could argue that's because these groups have chosen not to be public about the meeting and are happy to have the information for themselves.

If the club want to appease the fans then they should announce an open forum now for the end of the season. No pre-approved questions and film it for those who can't make it (with proper audio as the last one was not listenable).

  6. I just think that supporting the team will have a better impact than abusing them.

I don't think the players are as bad as they are showing currently and I think AC should have had his squad in the top 12 before January. That being said, we need a proper clear out of players in the summer regardless of what league we are in. Players like Massey, Ojo, Loft, Wilson and Jones have proved they're either not good enough or not prepared to do everything for the shirt. We also need to look at the playing budget - how have we got such a small squad supported by under 18s? And finally, we need a new head of player recruitment - the last 3 transfer windows have left gaping holes in the squad that is gross misconduct - it can't happen again in the summer.

Do you really think I like what's happened to the team that was challenging for 2nd place, not so long ago? If you think I like that, because I declare myself to be a Happy Clapper is stupidity itself! But I keep looking for the positives because I don't want to turn into one of the toxic gobshites on here, who regularly hurl insults, and patronising and sexist comments towards our owner - forgetting that she is a successful and award-winning businesswoman who has just sold her business (or, one of them?) for more money then the yappies on here will ever see in their lives?

I refuse to become one of the idiots who think nothing of defaming a person's character, and slandering them based upon rumour, hearsay, imaginary events and a complete lack of knowledge of events, or evidence of wrongdoing, or any other reason than they take a dislike to that person, or believe that a League 1 club shouldn't have the setup that we have, because Rudgie didn't - all those decades ago!

I refuse to lower myself to the name-calling, and personal sleights against people they don't even know, in person.  Don't expect me to think it's ever a good thing to boo an individual player - are you really so stupid that you think it might help? Or that such a mean-spirited creature that you don't even care what effect you may have on another human being?

Don't tell me I only see the small picture - I actually do see the larger picture...and, for some of you, it's very ugly indeed.

UTV KTF VTID and keep Happy Clapping - because the alternative is bloody awful!!!!!

I haven't agreed with much you have said over the last few months however I totally agree with you here.

I'm as fed up as the next person and I started raising my concerns last April with how let down I was feeling as a fan.

I will however never resort to name calling, personal abuse of anyone (including other fans) in order to show my passion for the club. I also don't think lining the players up and giving them a mouthful would help.

I think we have to support the players, will that ball into the goal (or at least towards it for the first time in a while) in the hope that we can perform the great escape.

At the end of the season lots of questions need to be asked and for me, the sooner DF is out of the club the better. I'm certain we can find someone else to do his job better, they could hardly do it any worse

Not a chance. Fraudcroft will still be at the club. Not going again until this lot is completed ridded out from top to bottom. If they can’t be arsed to put effort in and Carol can’t be arsed to admit what she has done is wrong then they can all <ovf censored> off. Back to league 2 where we belong ready for 3k a week at home. I’ll pass.

Who is this lot? Just to be clear

  9. If we release the 5 out of contract, don't sign the loans and get a striker and left wing back that's 11 signings just to get back to where we are - which is a squad full of poor players and reliant on loan players. We should have a squad of 23 adults.

It's a massive rebuild no matter the division and the squad is built on sand. it's a disgrace and it's not good enough. I sincerely hope people vote with their pockets and hold off renewing season tickets until this mess is sorted out. Carol can have a lovely refurbished empty stadium
