Carol please write another open saying the management and players have accepted our relegation is imminent and buy doing this we can start planning for next season taking into account the errors we have made this.
That way I won't be killed by possibilities and you will then put us loyal supporters out of our misery. Most importantly sod the money and bring back Darren Clarke.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEDon't be ridiculous

I find it disappointing that a supposedly shrewd business woman didn't Google Flitcroft and do some due diligence after finding the Bury story. Not to mention allowing someone who you invited for an interview to talk themselves into a job you didn't even know you were recruiting for. I suspect that part of the problem with our recruitment has been that most players were aware of Flitcrofts reputation in the game and we only signed players who couldn't get a better offer.

In the Rudge era the ones that stuck around generally had a flaw. Foyle wasn't quite quick enough to be a second or big enough to be a line leading forward. Glover wasn't quite tall enough or quick enough, Aspin lacked finesse. Naylor was not very tall and got into the game quite late. Quite a few also came because they'd spent a long time as squad players and genuinely wanted regular games. The mystery was Ray Walker, he lacked a little pace maybe but read the game so well it didn't matter. There wasn't much between him and Horton, the latter had a very good top flight career.
What about Ian Bogie? He was quite good

Sorry to be the grim reaper here....😁
The Vale drifting rather badly here, 10/11 all week, now out to 23/20....
👍😬
Bookies odds are about them making as much money as possible rather than actual team performance though.

I hope they don't try to create an atmosphere on Saturday by having the pre-match music at deafening volume again...

So what? We still wanted him and the offer was still there. It’s a job. What would you have done? You do realise that players don’t always take the first offer on the table.
I didn't realise that. Where did you get your degree in stating the obvious incidentally?
-
He turned down our initial offer but then agreed terms when no-one else wanted him. In what way is that a sign of commitment to the club. He never looks like he is interested to me.

Grant has started tonight and Debra is on the bench, no sign of our new man or Jones.

Hopefully they are not that stupid...

I thought about going but have decided that I would rather miss our magnificent victory than be there and watch us lose. If that makes sense.

Smurthwaite hasn't had any involvement in football for five years. He sold both Port Vale and Liberty Way (Northwich Victoria's stadium). I've not heard of any creditable reports of him getting back involved in football, let alone a club the size of Tranmere Rovers.
What happened to Nuneatons ground?

Oh come on, that's very harsh. We all know James Wilson is a quality player when fully fit, his ability has never been in doubt. His problem is that he isn't fully fit very often and if he was he would be playing higher than League 1.
OK Lee Matthews for the modern age maybe...

Is he one of those legendary players who gets better and better the less he plays? Achille Campion for the modern age?

He is probably interested in the potential to build houses on the old site. Let's hope he checks for a right of way to the site this time 😁

Can't believe it is 8 years since I was last at Wigan for football. Going tomorrow because it might be a while before we play them again...

Thank god that Uche will more than likely released at the end of the season
He has scored more league goals than Wilson at a similar goals per game ratio...

Chislett had largely stopped scoring long before Darren arrived.
-
Nothing until the early bird deadline as far as I am concerned...
-
You could buy them online via the Vale ticket site but the physical tickets haven't arrived for collection from the club shop yet.
-
Thanks, I was more concerned about the ones I have already paid for though...
-
We are bound to be confused since the one we have just got rid of wasn't very good at the job...

We are still suffering from the anti football concept of a previous manager, why did Massey fall on his knees in the box for example instead of just trying to score. Chislett likes to fall over a lot too.
Carol Shanahan.

Flitcroft didn't get lucky with the Clarke appointment, he was part of the problem. They tried to prove that they were somehow better than all the other 71 clubs by doing things differently, we overspent on a shiny new rocket which got us to the moon but then ran out of fuel.
