Hopefully DM will work out quickly that Grant is useless and shouldn't be anywhere near our squad, let alone team.

We've had some <ovf censored> left backs over the years. He is up (down) there amongst the worst!

Hopefully Garrity will replace the <ovf censored> Wilson and the ineffective Loft as our striker for our final 15 games of the season.

On the plus side, we've looked more solid first half with 4 at the back. We need to lift our team on Saturday more than ever and try and inspire some sort of performance out of them.

It's sad that a club with an (apparently) awful owner has got better players than us. Do they have a campus?

    Yes hence the debt

Sang is not a defender in my opinion.

Agreed, not his fault he is asked to do it, I remember when Porter had to play there, took us a while to work out what he was best at.

From my memory, AP could tackle and score the odd goal. It is Sunday and just to cheer all up.

Should have beat them 4 -0 at home .

Away with our set up and our lack of working together as a team only one winner it won't be us.

I'm.going give it a miss I'm going start the gym and spend my time swimming ,working out walking and loving life .

Vale since the Charlton game do not do anything for me if anything they play like they cannot be arsed so works both ways .

If Dickos had enough it says it all really .

Don't waste peoples time Vale players once your selected you should be crawling off the pitch, not while the games in motion, you run harder than ever you have ever ran , you show  intent and desire and a you not beating us mentality not shrug your shoulders and look like and play like you hate the supporters who pay your <ovf censored> wages .

I was always surprised when ex father in law stopped going he hasn't being a game this season because of home performances last but I understand why folk will walk away .

Team pick a team.who will work for one another and be positive not score then spend the next 15 minutes not defending with any authority (yesterday).

    I'd put Walters in myself.

Chislett he did OK yesterday maybe deserved a couple of goals ,least he runs forwards .

    Ripley .

    So my team

           Ripley

    Debrah Ojo Lopaco Icavetti

           Walters Sang

    Lomax  Chislett  Shorrock

                Mighten

    Go for it .

There's so many who played there way out the team yesterday let's put our faith in the youngsters least they will run hard if nowt else  .

Sick of senior pros playing when they feel like it if I went to work in my manual labour job and didn't perform I'd be sacked .

Well that team will lose 6 nil, just by 1/2 time, agree with the "senior" players, I say we should get "Dicko" in,  if he has a change of heart by Tuesday. All who go on the fun (not much fun atm) bus can play, as long as they have the required 3-4 pints . Oh they must remember to eat well, so 64 oz mixed grill before kick off or veg option.

  4. To be fair to Flitcroft, he is not on the pitch. So some blame has to go on the players.

Confidence is a massive thing and hopefully DM will boost that.

Re DF again yeah we did need that forward/poacher player, maybe we pick one up in the summer, too late? who knows, but bickering and negativity. Well there is only one way and it is not forward.

So Carol and Kevin do the finances, DF does whatever, hopefully Darren and the players do what any football fan wants and play for the club professionally.

I don’t see it as a problem. For me having Sat-Tues games 4 weeks on the bounce was more of a risk to the integrity/fitness of our squad currently and now we’ve got a lucky break (actually and figuratively).  Apart from Easter weekend don’t think we currently have midweek fixtures in either March or April so is one midweek game in each of those month more of a burden/risk?

Some players thrive on matches rather than training, but the teams we have had, in the past, doing that were playing well.

It may be harder when you are struggling, but one win and confidence built, could mean within 7 days you have that chance to get that boost.

You do need the players though ?  That is a major concern.

  6. Social media has its place,  but to bash X ( Twitter for the old uns) with Adeteye, that is old news and just has no place in where we are now.

Some people have an agenda, a bit like do you support Vale or Stoke?

Sjoke want the Coates out because they are useless with spending money, we moan because we dont spend money so that is C&K fault.

    That is all background stuff.

Fact is we are not performing with the players we have. Saturday 1st half Grant put 3 balls in to the box from corners, 5 yards out and not a single Vale player was in a position to attack the ball, free header to a Fleetwood defender. I could go on.

Is it the manager or the players? Can these players think on there own or do they play like robots?

Wrong thread for tactics, but I do feel that AC has got to own up to this, bad hand dealt with injuries, loans moving on, injured. ( I could go on Chizzy is not doing a lot)

Conclusion, we will stay up, fans will and probably get changes, hopefully we get back to supporting not bickering. Main thing is we progress, we were in Lg 2 remember.

A huge number of top 6 "fans" on twitter are foreign plastics who couldn't name a single one of the stands at the grounds of the clubs they claim to support. The opinions shared by some of them about Mason Greenwood apparently doing nothing wrong were straight from the Bronze age.

You'd be better off asking a dog in the park for their opinion on Gore signing on loan for all the football knowledge the Man Utd plastics have between them.

    Take no notice.

Talking of dogs, should we put an offer in for him, I am unsure if the can play possession football, from his agent he avoids tackles well and has great feet and gets a grip on the ball.

Plate of Sauerkraut or Oatcakes? No contest.

Indeed, I expect him to be announced tomorrow, but will he have sauce on his oatcake and what colour? Or will he be cheese or bacon? It is a calamity. May ask on X and see the reaction.

You are being polite, of course it isn't true. I see footballers every week and I will ask next time I see one to confirm to Brian seeing as logic isn't enough. I think he is getting mixed up with players who agree to mutual termination of contracts but even then they do not get paid the full amount owed.

If he did go for less than his contract, then he may have a case. So if money was offered say £50 million for Uche he would I presume want a % or any profit or else he would say I aint moving, but then he would not earn anymore money in wages.

But yes to move he would have to agree to terminate

  10. The rumours you see these days are amazing. Just pick any of our inform players (if we have any) and he is moving higher, anyone injured and we may be in for him 🤪

When we signed Slaven I was in the know, but there was no social media, just JR's big smile and him wishing we he being able to get him to sign years before.

Oh and Guppy, I knew he was off his girlfriend/partner bought him golf lessons off me and then phoned to say he could not come because it was too far to travel, asked for a refund.

  11. Uche is under contract, registered by us. He can break the contract, but then he wont play for anyone, unless we agree.

Re the nonsense that we agreed a fee and he can get the balance of wages while still been paid by us. Some weird folk out there.

As a sign of progress my hope this season would be not to have to look over our shoulders at the bottom 4, yet here we are again counting points and looking at other teams results !!!!!!

But that is football, if your top end you want better, bottom end you want to move up, perhaps we should just ask for 50 points and stay mid table ish. i hate us struggling and love a promotion, but I would always support them. you support them 🙂

I get your point by the way, but that is why

Falling a medical is a great way a rumour spreading blogger  uses to  justify his rumour was correct but  the transfer not happening . Can’t see ulche was going anywhere as Charlton have been likened with everyone from Exoudus.  To Harry Kane

Kane cant hack it anymore, gets injured every third season, too old.

Back on track, do we have opinions on players we should be signing? I know we cannot afford Haaland and he would not pass a medical, or would he 🤪

11 days to go re window, Pompey next week, should be a decent attendance.

When I say signings I mean permanent, or if we cannot afford, I really wish we could come up with a sensible answer?

    UTV

leave this here for suggestions, all are retired now, but my question is, how do us fans want to see us play, direct or pass around and have a smoke half way ?

Which players do we have out with freak injuries? Most have picked up injuries throughout their career.

Hence my post, if we just signed players that have never been injured, we would not have any. We got Uche in due to lack of forwards, knowing he was not 100% AC said that, hence he played short stints. Charlton may expect more for now, does not mean Uche cannot get fit, but may need longer than they want?

We have had enough crocks and yes as Brian said it is worth a ?

You have totally missed the point.

Why do players fail medicals at other clubs but get a pass at our's ?

That is a genuine question and one for the Flickers to answer on Thursday.

What I mean is if you are carrying an injury, like Garrity was would he pass a medical tomorrow. 2 months down the line he would. So Uche may have been okay when we signed him , but knackered after scoring the other week?
