  1. Norman's foreign legion were better than this. They went down on the last day by a point. Reggie and Chris Mbamba. Dear me!
  2. If Stoke and Crewe are in League 1 next year, and we're in League 2, I'm going to find it extremely difficult.
  3. Why haven't his backroom team been announced formally?
  4. Can someone explain to me how David Flitcroft was responsible for everything football related on a part-time basis, please? What happened on the days he wasn't in?
  5. The thing is, none of this really matters to Dave Flitcroft. Up until last month, he was doing 2 days a week. We were a part-time hobby for him amidst his other 'business interests'. If we go down? Eh. Carol loves him and will blame everyone else, especially those dreadful, abusive fans. It's all part of the long-term plan. Worst case, he gets a lovely payout and can go back to his other interests. The bloke has used us as a toy, trying to run us like Man City for a bit of fun on Tuesdays and Wednesdays before leaving Carol and Paddy to handle it the rest of the week. Anyone with any football experience, like Garlick, are unceremoniously dumped. He's created an atmosphere of supporter-belittlement ("where did everyone go at the end of the Derby game?", the patronising JoeB2Censored). We've got stalwarts like Dicko packing in the fun bus as he's that disenchanted. We've won 11 of 53. A lovely 21% win ratio. Carol thinks Flickers has met all his targets and we're all in the wrong.
  6. There were a few, scant positives there: It was a bit better than we have been recently Mighten looked lively for a bit Weir showed something (though still not convinced) Garrity is fit again However: 3 wins in 27 Nothing in the final third Mayhem at the back Grant is an absolute fraud Moore doesn't have a great track record in relegation battles
  7. Yep, I'm heading the same way. The letter was the final straw. It's not just a disagreement - it's a refusal to even see our perspective and belittling us despite the overwhelming evidence. It just strikes as someone who hasn't a clue what she's doing.
  8. Around Christmas time I forced myself to be positive and talked myself into believing this long-term thing we were doing. It was amongst the worst judgement calls I've ever made, against my usual cynical instincts. Even if Moore someone turns this around, Flitcroft has overseen one of the worst 14 month spells in the club's history. We have been atrocious since January 2023. The striker fiasco, dating back 2 years, is a sackable offence in itself, removing the litany of other failures he is responsible for. If Carol doesn't get rid of him then she truly hasn't a clue what she's doing. The man is a complete fraud - inexperienced in his role, given the keys to the club for his 2 days work a week, trying to run a club like Man City without the foggiest idea of how to do it. Carol is putting her personal relationship with David Flitcroft above the interests of PVFC, established in 1876, community institution, and lifeblood to 5-6,000 decent people. She's undoing all her good work, and if relegation does happen, I'll lose no sleep if she decides to walk.
  9. His absolute obsession with having digs at other Vale fans is extremely weird.
  10. Think you should all take a good look at yourselves. Flitcroft nearly signed 9 strikers and he absolutely smashed every single target Carol retrospectively set for him the other week. This abuse simply must stop.
  11. Sake. Not a lot we can do about that.
  12. Loft will never score, but he gets us up the field. There was a burst of pace when chasing a channel ball and a number of layoffs which started attacks. One of our all time greats.
  13. That was much better. Direct and open. We're playing Loft to his strengths. Stop giving Smith the ball. The backline looks much better with the high-line. Jones is weak. Garrity on for Weir.
  14. Crosby was a paint by numbers manager. Did everything by the book. Have a consistent system, a philosophy, and just keep doing it and results somehow then occur. Moore is a bit more of a proper manager. Will react to stuff and go off instinct.
  15. He tries. Will be interesting to see him leading the line with 3 players behind him tonight, instead of trundling about with Chislett 30 yards from him.
  16. 4 at the back according to Radio Stoke.
  17. Come on! Relentless positivity! Into these you rascal Whites! Come on! Vayul! Let's have it!
  18. As unlikely as it might seem, a win tonight would be absolutely massive in shifting momentum: climb out of the relegation zone, pushing Charlton in and compounding the misery there as they haven't won in 15. A Jones meltdown becomes more likely. God Willing. 1 point behind both Shrewsbury and Reading with 2 games in hand on both, who I think are just as likely to go down as us 4 points from 15th ahead of 2 winnable home games in succession Garrity, Clark, Plant, and Gore all likely to be fit in the coming weeks 16 points needed from 15 games, which is not difficult. Would completely transform the feeling around the club if we can rob a narrow victory. Of course, there's a long way to go and defeat tonight doesn't condemn us - but it could be really, really important.
