Apparently Alfies You Tube Channel has been taken down by the EFL, I guess because of the actual match content.
Seems a bit of a sledge hammer to crack a nut, I enjoy the Lads interviews and it would seem that the players do as well, he should be encouraged not cancelled by the EFL.

I wonder if the Referee's have had a directive to allow keepers grace, because that youth yesterday took it to the extreme and the Referee must have realised how long he was taking it was so obvious.

Listened to a bit more. Johnny brought up Euro 96 to counter Bez's statement that he's fell out of love with the game since then due to the rise of gamesmanship. But is Johnny talking about the standard of football at Euro 96 or level of gamesmanship? Two different topics altogether.
I'm completely in agreement with Bez. I played grassroots through the 90s and 00s. You just wouldn't let a player know they'd hurt you. There was an honour in the game. That's gone now. If a player went down the way Kirk did at times yesterday, seemingly in agony, they'd still be in hospital now.
And that's where I come back to Johnny's argument about Euro 96. Technically its better now, but is it more enjoyable? More exciting and entertaining? I don't think it is. Yesterday was a "5 goal thriller" if you see that scoreline. Not for me. Was boring at times. Seen more exciting nil nils.
Your right......Watching BHA v Grimsby and I'm bored to tears with this walking football, as unlike an FA cup tie as you could get.
I understand the intricacies, but it's as boring as hell.

It's funny how certain managers are certain fits for clubs, every time he manages Luton he has success, move away and it's down the tubes.

Was one, if not the best pod so far for me, Andy was spot on with his "Rant" The points he put forward were fair and reasonable, the only problem I have is walking for 90 odd minutes to get it all in !

I haven’t listened to the podcast so I won’t comment on what Tom Pope has said. Does he mention that he had dragged the club’s name through the mud with his stupidity on social media? Did he mention that the club spent a fortune on legal fees supporting him during his last social media issue? Did he mention that he refused to take the advice of those legal people in his response to the case? He reckons he has the right to free speech - well so do the rest of us and I reckon that it is a shame in view of everything he did on the pitch for the club he is now behaving like a spoilt kid off it.
Whilst he is free to air his opinions, I hope they don't have a negative on the club this season going forward, I hope his views aren't used as a stick to beat Carol and the management team if there is a bad run of results

Really enjoy The Podcasts, love how you see the game and they especially help to give a different perspective on the goings on both on the pitch and off.
Headphones, Coffee and a biscuit great way to spend a lockdown hour.....

You are probably right I was thinking of managers who had taken us up, never seen us as champions that was just as I started, even so it's hardly a feast of joy and celebration is it ?

When you consider the time we've had of it since 2003, I think we're a very patient and accepting fanbase.
We've seen more administrations than promotions this century.
One top 6 finish since 1993. ONE. IN 30 YEARS. We've made it past the third round of the FA Cup twice in the same timeframe, and once in the League Cup.
Add in the success that Stoke have enjoyed in the same timeframe.
This is why I get tired of fans being consistently battered. It's been largely horrendous being attached to this football club since 2000, through the fault of many, many frauds, both on and off the pitch.
Give us a bit of slack. The expectation of Vale fans to sit calmly and without grievance as another season goes down the swanny is so confusing to me. Just folk sick of their football team being a shambles.
I tried to work out how many promotions I'd seen in 62 odd years and I think it was 4, Gordon Lee, John McGrath, John Rudge and Micky Adams, so that's every 20 years approx. Ive never seen us be champions and the best of that period was a short spell in the 90's under Rudge.
I could be 88 before we go up again...................................................................................................!!
