So he goes out on loan then 2 days later he’s recalled?
Was it a result of Blades recalling Ollie? We needed him back straight away?

Apparently Dortmund have denied all knowledge of Brazier, allegedly having confused him with a system for undersoil heating for the cold German winter. However, they have driven over this evening to make a bid for James Plant, believing him to be handy for filling in those bald patches around the penalty spot at this time of year. My spies, (who are all shepherds by the way - bless you Spike Milligan), are presently eavesdropping on a conversation ongoing between Dortmund's Director of Football, Hans Kneesandbumpsadaisy, and a sack of charcoal near the checkout tills at Norton Canes services.
You heard it here first folks. Don't believe everything you read in the Sun. This is definitely true.

Ah, the Scum, that well known purveyor of truth....
I must have missed Liam (not pictured) bursting onto the scene. I hope he does, and I hope we get £750,000 for him at some stage soon. But I think I need to consult my agent Rhoda Borrocks before I say any more....
I'm just off to write an article for them about how Smudger is being chased by Real Madrid having burst onto the scene this season.....

I agree but if left early you be so angry still as you wouldn't have seen what was I agree was a tremendous second half .
I just want folk in them seats gamely enjoying the teams efforts .
If we lose 500 fans it's 500 too many just read in 10 years we have lost 425 games after watching our defensive efforts over that time I'm hardly surprised .
We need better for sure more Debrahs is the way forwards .

Erm - that stat? "We've lost 425 games in the last 10 years"? Just not true I'm afraid - where is that stat being circulated? It might have felt like it sometimes, but check the facts. It's not been a great decade apart from the recent promotion, I grant you, but the facts are that we have lost 185 games out of 451 in the league. That's a loss rate of 41%. If we did the same again for another decade, we still wouldn't have lost 425 games - to lose that many in a decade would see us in the Ronseal Paint Stripper 4th division, or similar. Or just go out of business for having a 77% loss rate each season. 42 out of 55 games or so each season lost. Really?
I get the point you are making about losing games, and yes, our defence leaks like a sieve, but where did this statistic get quoted from? If you added in our lost cup games over 10 years, the losses might reach 42.5% (I haven't done the maths) - is that what was meant instead of 425? Has someone missed out a decimal point? I'm all for using stats to make a point but this one seems wildly inaccurate. Criticise the club by all means, but 425 losses in 10 years? Blimey!

And just been outplayed by a team that has forgot what it's like to win and was the only reason they didn't beat us today. Garbage up front. Rubbish at the back. If we get even close to the play-offs I'll have Crosby's name tattooed on my arse cheek. You can even pick which one.
I pick the bit between the cheeks….

11 goals for Ben - count them (if indeed it was him). Thank goodness we come away with a point.

Hopefully he retires now and he will be wealthy enough to that too which will enable him to take care of himself & his family
Definitely - and the club will keep him on as coach or community liaison officer or similar. Heartbreaking to have a career stopped by this, but his family must come first.

I could buy it with one. But 3?? No chance. Also, in those days where they got kicked black and blue and still played on the weekend, they wouldn’t have come off after 60 mins.
I was there for many games when they did, and thought "we won't see him on Saturday" - but they recovered in time.

Is it not beyond the realms of possibility that a player might have started Tuesday's game fit, tweaked a calf/groin/eyelash during the first half, told the management he was struggling at half time and been told to see how it goes for the first ten minutes of the second half, then getting substituted as a precaution against a long term injury when said player continues to struggle?? It doesn't require anyone to be lying. And back in the day, a player would get kicked black and blue mid week and still recover to play on Saturday - three days is time to get a minor tweak sorted.
Why does every injury have to be a conspiracy theory allowing fans to think they know what is happening in the dressing room and on the physios bench?

So, to sum up....
It's all rubbish, see that, it's rubbish, that's rubbish as well, and that...
Or
You know that football right, it's brilliant! Everything's great. What it is right, is blokes kicking a ball around - Brilliant!
I'm somewhere in the middle I think, but a win today would be very helpful (cue comments about papering over the cracks).

Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs....
Can we manage the next 7 - 8 minutes, or will it go to 3-3?
This is doing nothing for my heart ...

Think that's 8 in all competitions now - 6 EFL, 1 FA Cup, 1 Other (EFL Trophy?)
Plus a penalty against Newcastle U21s in the Tin Pot? I make it 9. Good lad Ben!

Great start - keep it going. Is that 9 goals this season for Garrity?

Up and at 'em lads - let's get into the next round.

Have I missed the outcome of Jesse Debrah’s compensation tribunal, if not, anyone know when it’s due? That could potentially put a dent in our striker, LWB, any other position, budget.
I haven't seen anything about this, but a win tonight would surely help to cover the compensation, so we can still go for a striker next month? Another incentive for us to win this game and get through to round three? I think Debrah has been a good addition overall after a rocky start. Well done to the recruitment team.

Will be driving up from darn sarf with a carload of mates who've never been to the Wembley of the North before. They don't blink at paying £25 for a ticket, since they support bigger clubs. Have told them to bring their boots just in case the injury crisis has worsened and we're down to fielding anyone with a pulse and 2 neurons on the night. (Lardies need not apply since the neurons requirement excludes them). Should be home by 2am on Wednesday 20th if the traffic is kind. Can't wait. UTV.

Understood, I was just thinking of having an extra body back in the squad - we have been known to play players out of position....
Also, I'm not sure when we were told about Arblaster - hopefully we have a plan B in the January window for this eventuality. But whatever the reason, I'm glad Shorrock is back in the fold.
