Thanks for that,i just assume there might be a younger player or two that Moore might take an interest in and the same with Huddersfield at a guess, just because they haven't done it at those clubs it wont mean that they cant perform at League Two level

Most managers dip into the well of ex players.

At least Huddersfield and Wednesday have better credentials than those we've had from the likes of Macc in the past.

The odds aren’t some ones opinion or bookies judgment they are driven by how much money has been waged on a certain club. It’s Chesterfield have had the biggest wedge put on them so far , in few weeks it will change to whom ever is the flavour of the month . It totally horse defection of the highest  order

    Incorrect.

So you're telling me if I put 100 quid on Morecambe then they'll become the favourites?

I don't read it that way, it seems to me to be genuinely mutual.

Jimmy turns 42 in July, just after his last Test match, an age when mere mortal seam bowlers have long since been retired.

The chosen date gives Jimmy the chance for a big send-off at the home of cricket.

And then allows the England coaches and selectors the rest of that Windies series, and the following series against Sri Lanka and NZ, to bring through new seam talent, in preparation for next year's Ashes in Australia, which is always a gruelling tour.

There's an excellent Jimmy tribute video on Sky Sports.

There was an article on the BBC yesterday suggesting he'd been spoken to during a round of golf with Mccullum.

I definitely think he's been pushed. Wouldn't of hurt to play against W Indies. I understand the need to look to the future.

But to me he's been persuaded after being told what is going to happen.

    Bromley clearly underestimated

Worth putting money on Fleetwood how they were playing towards the end

Bromley could be anything I guess. I think they'll be horrible at their place. Certainly don't think they'll be above midtable.

Once Doncaster and probably Mk Dons are added to the list then the odds will change.

Don't fathom the thinking on Carlisle at all.

Some backside kissing to a club that really does not like us

Some comments can’t help but have a dig at there club

    Who cares close the thread

Never thought I'd see a thread praising Crewe. As rare as a Vale striker having a goal attempt.

I always renew mine in respect of my dad who had a barbershop in Burslem for 70 years but would appreciate the club getting rid of two goals loft and the dreadful jones and with all due respect to ikpaezo I don’t want to see him again and the club have to sign some new players like Alblaster and some new attackers or the manager, who I haven’t been impressed with at all will be gone and there is a better manager available who has just left Hull  and please, pleas, please spend some money asap

We certainly are unlikely to have anyone of the ability of Arblaster in League 2.

I hope anyway in the main that they are our players we sign not just umpteen loanees.

Sort of agree. Pitch and scoreboard were great and Vale park is the nicest it has been to go to with the new fanzone etc.

I feel the priority should have been to open the Lorne street fully.

Personally feel the scoreboard could and should be so much better.

Where's the half time scores up and down the country for example?

It's not as good as I'd hoped. Information wise not how it looks .

    OK let's use your analogy.

Either save up or do without.

    Then what?

An extra 2,000 fans at bare minimum are being disenfranchised that is £670.000 lost right there.

Make it affordable for all and make Vale park the 12th man... All the way to the Premiership.

If Barnsley and Luton can do it so can Vale.

Sadly we struggled to get 10'000 home fans for the biggest cup game of our modern history.

I expect once the dust settles that people will renew . Its in their DNA.

You don't achieve any percentage by making Season tickets unaffordable.

Huddersfield tickets less than 300 quid league one.

Huddersfield is a ridiculous comparison. Lard are probably cheaper than ours and they get free away travel.

Could always defect to them and see better football and away grounds for the ticket price only ?

I suspect you are very close to the owner indeed.

It's up to supporters when they wish to buy season tickets.. They don't need to be judged because they want to see what players come in... That is a supporters perogative.

The point I am making is that the price shouldn't increase. It is unfair and potentially disenfranchised fans from attending

It's not unfair at all. Life is unfair.

My weekly food shop and petrol keep going up.

As many others have alluded to, this happens every single May. It's not a great shock. You take stock of whether you can afford it or you budget accordingly in anticipation.

Just seems to me another stick to knock the club with. I'll moan and complain with the best but I'm sorry this season ticket gripe is a non starter. Buy earlier you get it cheaper. Its not alienating fans or favouring people with deeper pockets.

Every May the club announce the deals. I understand people being undecided, that's a different issue.

But value for money we are more than comparable and better than many clubs in our division.

Thanks Darren 1810 just don't like buying tickets though other agents.

Understandable mate. I was going to have a stroll up tomorrow morning but thought I'd ring to save a wasted journey. So the lad I spoke to says June 1st available on line and in the shop.

Will I still be able to go to club shop and purchase a early bird senior season ticket or only on ticket master and will there be a booking fee .

Simply go into the club shop mate as per screenshot.

I've spoken to them and not on sale until June 1st.

Is your mate a fan of the chicken version though? I’m not.

Seen more than one person say that about chesterfield on here. What’s giving people that impression about them?

A lot of teams have done it. Momentum. Feel good factor. Money. Not as big a gap between National League and league two as higher up the food chain.

They are the bookies favourite which means nothing but I just think that they'll be automatic or top 7.

If they can afford Madden ( if he signs ) then they've definitely got coin.

I'm sorry to say but uche won't score 10 goals in two seasons never mind one 🕜 hope I'm wrong but Im not holding much hope he's going to be our saviour 🤔

Someone made a good point about his sitter v Cambridge.

Dropping a division, he still misses it regardless.

Like him as a character but his cult status is bemusing compared to the grief Loft gets for similar output.

Sincerely hope he looks elsewhere as he considers our offer to be derisory.

Incredible. So you’ve got the choice of paying early if you’re desperate to get one cheap, but if you want a specific seat somewhere then you’ll end up paying full whack!

The other issue I have with the ST price windows as well is coordinating with friends to get the seats closer together. It doesn’t help the way they’ve done it IMO, 350 a lot for many. And at presumably 20+ POTG, attendances really will suffer.

No because if you want a specific seat you can pay now at cheapest rate.

If you haven't taken up the option at the end of July the seat will be released.

Some people in the area might be out of work, now unless I'm missing something how can people budget if they have no income.

The demographics status of the immediate Port Vale catchment area isn't exclusive to just people earning 30k or more

If they have no income sadly they would have to budget accordingly and you'd hope football was the least of their priorities.

Sheffield united are in a bigger debt than us so sign Alblaster and I have seen every meeting but I don’t rate the manager that highly but time will tell

Manchester Unired are in bigger debt than us.

    Can't wait for August.

Arblaster laying on some gilt edged chances for Rashford.

    Sorted.

  18. To sit in the stand at Morecambe is £319 , that price was only valid until May 1st. They are now £369.

They currently have one player under contract, although admittedly I wished some of ours weren't under contract.

I try to be balanced. Not everyone will agree with my posts, but I really think if people are knocking our prices they need to look at the bigger picture in the division.

By all means knock 100 quid off per ticket if we fancy re-signing Zak Mills and Whitehead again.
