Hope we get another open letter from Carol. That January transfer window needs a public apology. Plant still jammed in at WB, getting mullered every few minutes. Loft up front. Relegation battle. Absolute disgrace.
That will never happen. More chance of Vale scoring a couple of goals in this match than Carol apologising about letting fraudcroft have so much control over phenomenal recruitment.

Come on Vale, see if we can do the impossible and get a goal back. But I think platting fog would be easier to do.

I actually feel for him. It’s easy to slag him off and give him abuse. I highly doubt he wants to play crap and cost the team like he has tonight.
He has had to play the lone striker against a well drilled Posh defence and fight for each ball. Flicking balls on, but no Vale players actually up there with him. He tried and must be totally frustrated.

Wonder who would win between Smith and Ripley. Might find out later in the game.
Come on Vale.

Thank god we've signed a left back who hasn't played since October from the American second division. Our prayers to this shambles of a performance have been answered.
You never know he could be good and what we need. 🤣
Tad late tho.

If it's anything like the first half I'd be amazed if it only ends 1-0.
I understand the game plan was to defend well and hopefully get a point, but you can't just stick 11 men behind the ball for 90+ mins against a side that's better than you are. You have to have some sort of attacking option or plan.
They forgot the important part of the game plan - keep concentrating till the ref blows the final whistle.

Need to put Chislet on for Walter’s
and get Massey of as well
Who to replace Massey or just get him off - get him off and not replace him is very much like him still being on the pitch when you think about it. He plays like he is not really on the pitch a lot of the time. 🤪
Need to make Posh defend for a while and the only way to do that will be to put another striker on who can either team up with Loft or change Loft for Uche and bring on Dipepa as well and go 2 up front.

Another corner and a goal.
Was hoping to go in 0-0 after their hard work. Again lack of concentration and static Vale and a goal.

DM needs to freshen it up second half we need more attacking intent can't keep sitting back and hoping for the best UTV
Wonder if that is what DM thought, see if we can go in 0-0 and then try to nick a goal in the 2nd half.
They are trying to fight against a very good Posh team. Thank god they have forgotten their shooting boots.

If we get a positive result a will require a minor miracle but you never know
A draw would be awesome result. But just don't see that happening against this lot.

Think Lowe has changed his name to "Lowe that was poor" as that is what the commentator seems to call him.
Come on Vale.

Just waiting for them to score.
Come on Vale, need a ugly goal, great goal or any type of goal to upset Posh and their fans.
They look to have some great players.

I would say that Vale have played decently and deserved a point or more in 5 of the last 6 games, setting aside only the deserved defeat against a decent Oxford side, but including the Northampton game.
The work rate against Wigan was a key factor and I hope and expect the players to do that and more against Peterborough.
My impression is that Darren and his staff absolutely won't accept less than 100% from every player who is on the pitch.Agree, but this is Vale and not basing it on this year, but last year as well - we seem to be a generous team to the teams on poor runs, not scored for long spells or teams that have just played a game a few days before we seem to sit back and make mistakes. You never know what team will come out and play previously. The joy of being a long time Vale fan 🤪
DM certainly has them more more sorted/organised and not playing that tippy tappy pass back style of football, that seemed to get us into trouble now. As you say we have deserved a point or more in the games.
I am hoping the fighting Vale turn up tonight and go for it and do hope we come away with 3 points. Specially what Carlise did last night. Oh if we can build on their win over Cheltenham.
Come on Vale.

If the lads play 90+ minutes with the commitment they put in at Wigan on Saturday we have a good chance of getting something at Peterborough tonight.
And better still if Peterborough are a bit leggy after finishing their Trophy Final game around 6:30pm on Sunday evening then having a glass or two.
Come on Vale. However, this is the ever giving Vale we are talking about. Teams that are on bad runs, not scored in a while or could be tired from playing a match a few days ago, the players go mad and give them a chance.
Come on Vale, go for it and take the 3 points tonight. Keep the dream of the greatest escape a live. Carlise did us a favour last night.

Soz mate , but I just don't rate Lofty
Uche gives us more of a focal point and I'm more confident of him hitting the net
Totally see why some people don't rate Loft. I would have hoped he would have scored more goals for us and that is a big disappointment. But he does a lot of off the ball stuff and pulls defenders with him, also pings in crosses into the box for players to try and score. If we had players that could ping the balls into the box, maybe Loft would be in the box and putting them away, instead of him trying to do that job. Down to poor recruitment by fraudcroft - some may say Loft was a mistake by him as well. Yes probably more of a panic buy, which has cost the club - but they set a max spend line and lost strikers to other clubs due to sticking with it and then maybe had to bust it to get Loft and Uche anyway.
You saw on saturday when Uche came on, the commentators quickly said the back 4 had a quick chat about Uche and how to mark him. He brings that battering ram style of play, where opposition try and take him out, but just end up being bounced off or clinging to him. He also showed on saturday he can tackle as well, with a couple of great tackles.
They bring different things to the game. If Loft scored more, he may be liked more by fans. Uche is liked by most fans due to him battering opposition when he comes on.

Know what you mean. Both would not be first choice strikers as both have their good points and also their bad points.
Uche brings defenders out of position and causes problems with his size, but can miss simple shots just like Loft does.
Loft, not a natural goal scorer for us, but does ping in crosses and does a lot of off ball stuff that Uche seems to not do.
If there was another striker for Vale, they would probably be a head of them both.

just shuffling here a sec and i apologise, but have been live on sky this season - I thought we were guaranteed at least 1 home game?
No TV, as it may be too much for the Vale players to cope with. 🤣

Uche is definitely more of a goal threat
There again Loft does a lot of the off ball stuff.
One of those, either brings something different to the game.

It's a nice feeling at the moment. Burton will leapfrog us on Wednesday.
Depends what side turns up against Peterborough.
The Vale players may be confident they can get a result after todays point.

Decent keeper Tess is.
He pulled off some great saves and a Wigan friend said he is great for them, but can be a nightmare at times as well. Why today have a good game tho. 🤣

Well that is better than no points. Out of the relegation zone for a few days.
Hopefully, this will give them some confidence the great escape could be on.
Well done Vale players and Staff for the point. 3 would have been dreamland, but you concentrated and tried to get a winner.

Carol take a look at Posh players. This is proper recruitment and a club that is championship ready. Yes they have paid high wages, but you get what you pay for.
We are not even 1st div or 2nd div ready with this bunch of players.
