Unless I've missed stuff said in the press conference, there's been no word on Jones and Mighten. I presume they may be both injured if they are not in the squad at all.

I was trying to conjure up a starting eleven and there's a real issue at LB/LWB. I wouldn't start the new signing, it's too big a risk but I have no idea what to do. I'd almost be tempted to play Plant (out of position) as LWB but then who plays as RWB - Sang (who has been badly caught out of position recently)? Massey? Lomax (probably too great a gamble)?

I think Jones is injured but I don’t think Mighten is. Just think Moore doesn’t like him.

You are already pulling out of going Bolton, great support. Just what the club needs

How many games have you UK based #parttimephilpvfc been this season?

15 all together. Not bad for someone who lives over 3 hours from home games. Maybe I am a part timer but you or in no position to criticis #nevergoBrianwithoutfreefood

Great comeback to someone that does not even live in the UK.

Just remember where you live and how you hardly go to Vale - keep it up!

Yes, 7 hour round trip last night… one of the 188 who went to Orient on a Tuesday night, over 6 hour round trip to Vale Park. I don’t forget where I live, and although I don’t go every game I do go to support the team unlike yourself who pops over rarely for your free food at the games.

You stay in your armchair and criticise fans for not attending…..#brianjohnsonthehypocrite

I don’t want to see Grant in a vale shirt again. Only other option we have is Shorrock. I wouldn’t be too unhappy with Shorrock starting at home to he honest but I’m also opening to giving the new guy a chance. We have 4 games to play he’s been brought in on a short term deal so obviously part of the plans

What about Mighten? Not consistent but still put the best performance of any left winger this season. We have to win the game, so maybe a bit of positivity in the line up may help.

    Fook me!

The shock of the night is not Big D's team selection but it's parttimephilpvfc actually attending a game

Great coming from someone who sits in his armchair slagging everyone off who himself has only been to 3 or 4 games all season only for the free food.

Was never going to end 0-1 😂 what we’re you actually expecting?

For our manager to put an effort to actually come back with at least a point. I never expected anything other than defeat but still went to the game in hope we might get a surprise win, like Carlisle did a a few weeks ago (who are now already relegated). I nearly walked out 10 minutes before kick off when I saw Moore’s pathetic approach.

If we beat Exeter on Saturday, all will be forgiven by most fans, and some will say it was the correct decision, but I can tell you now, I for one won’t make the same mistake again and go to Bolton for what again, will be a really important match.

Same with me, went expecting a loss but at least a bit of fight and battle. What I saw was pathetic and a waste of my time and money, didn’t even try.

Moore has been here long enough now to realise Loft and Massey should not be in our starting eleven, if that’s his attack then welcome division 2 next season, we may as well have Gannon back as manager.

    “Prioritise”?

    Its league one football.

The last thing I would do against ANY league 1 team is park the bus behind a bus and another bus and basically give a team three points before a ball is kicked.

Tonight was an abomination. Regardless of what’s to come.
We waved the white flag at 6.45pm when the team news was announced.
It was three. Could have been 7. Their goalkeeper had his easiest night of the season.

Half time stats showed we were successful in 33% of our tackles.

I am all for putting your eggs in one basket with the three home games but tonight was unforgivable with how we approached it.

Dont go gung ho. Keep it tight. But don’t <ovf censored> quit before a ball was kicked.

    It was free hit.

    Unforgiveable.

Was <ovf censored> and wish I never bothered going. If I knew Moore was going to throw in the towel before, I would’nt have bothered setting off.

     Nope….I certainly wasn’t.

What I'm saying is that we all thought he was brill for the first couple of seasons. Tranmere know exactly what their getting from the start this time.

Don’t speak for everyone, I didn’t rate him since his bust up with Wilder. It’s only because we had a really good manager with Adams. Don’t think everyone was fooled by his antics.

No he wasn’t. He was a dick from the first second he took over the club….ask Wilder.

So we all didn't love him (got dressed up as smurfs) when we won promotion?

     Nope….I certainly wasn’t.

Does anyone really have a choice to get involved with Norman? Did we? The common factor is he will only get involved with desperate clubs who have no real choice.

We didn't know what he was like though did we. In fact, he was sound at first.

No he wasn’t. He was a dick from the first second he took over the club….ask Wilder.

It's been several months since Chislett was effective. I don't know what is going on, but we have seen him too deep picking up the ball and dribbling to be effective as a goal scorer from advanced midfield / wide forward. He's also started getting tackled much more in the second half of the season - fair dues in that if no one else poses much of a threat the opposition will concentrate on him. Now he seems to have got one foot disease when it comes to shooting? He has gone massively backwards since the New Year. I can see why Moore took him off v Northampton. But I do hope he can get fixed this week and turn up as the player he was in the remaining games from the bench or starting. If so, I'd close his hatchback and take him off the forecourt.

He hasn’t been as good but most the team have. Funso for example was as good as any player we had for the first half of the season, not so after Crosby went. Chislett has still been far better than Weir or Massey and does pose our biggest goal threat alongside Garrity another player who Moore in his untold wisdom seems to want to play deeper.

    Seen the highlights.

First Chislett effort was unfortunately a good save, he did well to get it down to the bottom left.

The second chance where he squared it to a defender to clear without looking where he was passing was woeful.

The turnover for the first goal was equally woeful from Loft. Sang nowhere near his winger, oh you do surprise me. Ripley's off his line to narrow the angle but he sinks to the ground without even sticking an arm out. Horror show allround.

It was a good ball through for Uche and he did well to win it, but then he takes a fairly early snapshot. If he drove into the box a little longer he had Garrity coming up through the centre for a square ball with an open goal.

Sang again for the 2nd. Oh you do surprise me. Seriously, watch it and tell me he doesn't look like a competition winner. His total lack of effort and conviction there was excruciating.

Agree with all of that although the shot by Chislett was telegraphed. I agree Loft was the main culprit for the first goal but the defending by Debrah was Sunday League standard, anyone could see Sang was not going to catch his man yet Debrah did not move across to the position he should be in any way.

  14. 14 minutes ago, TJHValiant said:

Lacovitti was pants. Sang was appalling and was Ojo even on the pitch? I thought Uche did well to get past his man, but he should have smashed that. Loft we need to just basically keep on the bench, he can’t do anything except jog around.

Ojo had a decent game. Sang was awful, Debrah, shocking and Loft did nothing. Smith MOM again, he’s holding our defence together because Debrah has been awful of late and although I thought the Yak was OK today he is prone to too many errors.

Uche blew it. So casual when he went through. Ripley was terrible today so jumpy today. Spent far too much time out his area. Garrity was terrible as well, first touch like a sponge.

They aren’t the 3 players I’d have picked out today as being the worst but agree that Uche’s effort was pathetic.
