I'm going to put it out there... would Crosby have kept us up?

I think he probably would have. Things were far from great under him, but there's no way we lose 10 from 15 games with him in charge. We'd have scraped enough points to stop up based on the fact we still find ourselves only 3 points adrift. The fact we're not mathmatically relegated yet is astonishing. The bottom of this league is absolute garbage.

Our home form in particular is beyond a joke. I really worry about next season. We're a soft touch & we all know what League 2 is all about. We will be bullied week in week out.

Crosby was far from being a quality manager but I’m with you. Another 5 points this season and we will have stayed up, I think we would have got the 5 points needed had Crosby stayed. It took Moore about 5 games to work out which players to play and even then he has made some awful decisions without inspiring the squad. I think in those first 5 games Moore has been in charge we would have picked up the 5 points needed.

It’s gone past criticism it’s pathetic. Practically a keyboard bully, I don’t disagree she should be held responsible for a lot of things but your another level. And I’m sorry but there’s nothing flukey about a promotion! It’s won on merit. We fully deserved that promotion. Whoever ends in the top 6 has done so because they’ve earned it & we were brilliant in the playoffs & the final

    Just ignore the Stokie

Don't you think accusing someone of being a Stoke fan because they have a different opinion than yourself is schoolboy stuff, Phillip?

And I've been to more home games this season than I've missed, and that's despite what I think of Carol, and Crosby before that. What's it to yourself little man? I really don't get why you're so eager to know.

    Which games have you been?

You do realise that 'Vailiant' was already taken as a username right, peckerdick?

You really do seem a little bit dim, Phillip.

Was thick <ovf censored> also taken? You can’t even spell my name correct.

You’ve still not answered my question, have you ever been the Vale? Can’t include Stoke games.

I've given lots of praise when we've actually deserved it. Just because you choose not to see that so it suits your own agenda isn't my problem at all, Phillip.

A Stoke fan who can’t spell Valiant. I can’t recall any praise. Have you ever been the Vale?

    Carol out.

She's killing the club one diabolical decision at a time.

You kept spamming against Crosby, then it was Flitcroft, now Carol. Nowhere to be seen when we are winning. Are you very lucky that you only ever go when we are winning? Or do you just never go? Guess you dont as you are a Stoke fan on here spamming.

Almost like she knew what was coming !

Most of us knew what was coming. Vale have this habit of building your hopes up and as soon as anything goes against them they cave in. Can blame Moore, can blame the payers but a lot of it is down to psychology. We keep throwing away leads, Exeter came back from being 2 down in their previous games, the writing was on the wall as soon as they got a goal back.

My better half heard it live on the radio at Chesterfield.  Does anyone else remember thinking "bloody Liverpool fans causing trouble again"?  Little did we know.

Yes, I was at Chesterfield, heard the game was called off and thought it was Liverpool fans kicking off….even Sepp Blatter accused Liverpool fans for crowd trouble.

Rudgey and MA did just fine without a DOF didn't they , I'm confident DM doesn't really require a DOF but that's the owners call 🤔

That was back in the day when a manager was a manager not a head coach or any other term they may be called now. Things have moved on since then. We may not need a DOF (I think we do, with Carol in charge) but we cannot have a manager in control of everything, especially not Moore.

I'd prefer DM to make those decisions 👍

So, our manager is responsible for all football matters and his direct report is Carol.

    God help us.

    There's so many factors aren't there ?

For example we only won one of the first 6 under Clarke as the total overhaul meant players were bedding in.

I'm staggered to see any suggestion that Crosby is a better manager than Clarke. In fact it beggars belief.

Maybe we should of hung on to Crosby and we'd be League 2 Champions next season with his stats.

Yes, lots of factors to take in to consideration, also, we were slipping down the table when Clarke took time off and Crosby reversed that slide.

I believed that, but Burton showed against Stevenage they are capable of a nasty, tough to beat performance that could see them through. That’s how we should have played the 2nd half against Exeter, low tempo, time wasting, staying behind the ball…

Moore just said carry on like the 1st half, which was simply stupid. We couldn’t keep that tempo up for 90.

It just seems we have given the job to another prat.

We totally have…..I realised after 2 games we had given the job to the wrong manager and he will take us down. Saying that, I’m all for giving him a chance and are happy to give him 6 months next season to see if he can get us back up, Carol has shown she gives her full backing to those working under her but will call it time if it isn’t working, like it or not, we have given him a 5.5 year contract so we should be giving him at least 12 months to prove himself. This is Flitcrofts parting gift, he has done untold damage to the progress we have made in the last few years.

Im counting on the Burton result at Stevenage being a one off fluke, they were playing against 10 men for a chunk of the game.
