  4. Nathan Smith says he has “unfinished business” after his shock contract extension with Port Vale was officially confirmed. Smith was widely expected to move to a club in a higher division so his decision to stay is a huge boost for the Valiants. It means that every player offered a new contract this summer has agreed a deal.
