A versatile left-side player, Colin Daniel signed a two year deal with Port Vale in the summer of 2014. Daniel had started his professional career at Crewe Alex and had previously spent three years at near neighbours Macclesfield Town.
He earned himself something of a reputation as a Valiants “super sub” with Daniel adding several useful goals after coming off the bench.
However, by February 2016, Daniel had slipped out of Port Vale first-team contention and he was loaned to Mansfield Town until the end of the season. He was then released by the Valiants at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
He later joined Blackpool, Peterborough United and Burton Albion for spells.
