  1. I don't disagree. I want Loft to be a success for Vale just as I want every player who wears the shirt to do well. However, until yesterday he looked a player lacking motivation, understandably low on confidence & simply going through the motions of being a professional footballer. That said, the past is done & if he repeats yesterday's efforts for the rest of his Vale career he'll do for me.
  2. Well in a lot of them he's appeared disinterested & happy for the game to take place around him - he might have been trying, but he gave a good impression of someone who wasn't. Yesterday was different. Body language much better, looked up for the fight & worked his nuts off. That's all I ask of him - and the same goes for the other 10 on the pitch. For the first time in weeks we looked together as a team. There's 5 teams in a scrap now & if we can continue to fight in this way we have a chance of survival. Cambridge at home could be win to stay up.
  3. Spot on. In 45 years I've seen worse teams than the current one, but can't recall one that cared less. The lack of fight and professional pride this squad displays is disgraceful. A very small handful look like they care, the majority are doing no more than collecting a wage. Honestly, I've had enough. There's roughly 15 of my group who go pretty much every game - aged 14 to 76. We've all decided to miss Burton, if the players can't be bothered neither can we.
  4. Given that my current matchday experience is peeing in a portaloo, drinking in the rain & 90 minutes of dross I'm struggling to see Flitcroft's vision for the club. Maybe if I was sat in the posh seats I'd have a different opinion. So yes, for me what happens on the pitch is by far the most important measure of competence - on that basis I can only say he's a snake oil salesman who needs to go.
