Cups this calendar year: Played 13, won 5, drawn 5, lost 3. I've included the 3 draws that went to penalty shootouts as draws in there, against Crewe and Newcastle U21s which were "wins" and against Stevenage which was a "loss". Otherwise its won 7, drawn 2, lost 4.
Of those 13, 6 were against League 2 or U21 opposition, 6 were against League 1 opposition, and 1 was against Championship opposition.
Brings our overall, in all competitions record in 2023 as:
Played 57
Won 15
Drawn 15
Lost 27
A win percentage of 26%, which is shocking, and fan dissent has been incredibly restrained. Even if you take leaps and consider the penalty shootout wins as "won" games, our win% this calendar year is 30%.
Those stats say it all. Abysmal year.

More talent in his little toe than Loft and Uche put together.
Sadly also as injury prone as they come.
Should be released on the basis of his track record with injuries but likely to get offered something to compensate for the woeful inadequacies of the recruitment department when it comes to strikers.

Tickets on sale from 6pm 1st Jan - initial allocation just over 1,000 (although they can undoubtedly give us more if required).
Would anticipate a decent following given it’s 20+ years since our last trip to what was the Madjeski Stadium but is now the Select Car Leasing Stadium. Nearest game of the season for me so bringing a couple of mates along to sample the delights of SuperValeAway.
For anyone getting the train down there is now a station called Reading Green Park which is about a mile from the ground and trains run from Reading Station which is in the middle of town.
There are very few drinking options around the ground so best bet is town centre - The Three Guineas is right next to Reading station (in the town) and is usually away fan friendly.
