Brutal defeat for Kelly tonight. Good call by the corner to throw in the towel especially after the Warrington fight.
I like Kelly but could tell straight away he was gonna tank early on. Went for it in the early rounds and paid for it especially against a quality fighter like Avaneson.
True. Not great for English boxers at this time. They all seem very undercooked and with an excuse story at hand. To be fair they have come up against decent stuff. But very poor stuff.
They are better than this. And they know it.

Have we overestimated the squad quality?
Probably, a bit. But no way should we be this crap with the players at hand. A bit of organization. A bit of motivation. A bit of getting the basics right. A bit of leadership. Is it too much to ask?

Appreciate the efforts Stu, but we are such a bloody shambles I can't bare to listen. I'd rather try to forget it,

Very true. It's hardly a life style choice is it? Although in my case, thanks a lot Mum.

Cheers for the feedback. A few points here.
1) Can't help my accent I'm afraid.
2) I live in north London and very occasionally watch Arsenal with my father in law.
3) I don't know how on earth you got the impression that I'm a Man Utd fan. United weren't even mentioned - at any point.
4) I've been supporting Vale for the best part of 25 years now.
5) The Ale and Vale lads are doing a cracking job with the pod.
Fair enough mate. Sorry. Ill judged comment from myself. Tensions running high but no excuse.

What on earth do you expect them to do?
Read out the result, Baggers' match report, and passively offer no comment or opinion?
Whatever you say Sloop Joe B. It is all fine but they sing off the same sheet. And it get's a bit repetitive after a while for me. No problem. Just my opinion. Am I allowed that your royal highness?

I'm not having a Vale podcast with some cockney tit talking about Arse and Man U. End of. We hear quite enough about them.
-
What is that Cockney bloke doing moaning about Vale? He even said he is an Arse fan? Poor form recently lads. And a MU fan? How does that work? Quitting the pod. Too self opinionated for me. Good luck with it but not for me anymore.

Agree with Wilder Aj.
I suppose the question now is when will fury fight wilder especially if they are contracted for one more fight. I'd imagine Fury will want a warm up fight first also
AJ also has a mandatory challenge in Usyk to deal with. If both men win their fights respectively we could get a huge uk title fight end of the year maybe.
My understanding is that Fury is no longer contractually obliged to do a Wilder rematch, and that since AJ has just done a mandatory he will be cut some slack on the next one. So should be good to go in late spring/early summer.
Fury would surely need a fight in the meantime though, and his camp don't seem to proposing much. AJ Wilder, well Wilder seems a bit off the radar at the minute after Fury dismantled him. Plus what would be in for AJ? He's done his bit for now. The ball is in Fury's court.

Solid performance from AJ tonight. Pulev can take a punch
Joshua-Fury 2021 has to happen now
Yeah. It was a bit odd how he took his foot off the gas after round 3. Almost like he wanted a few more rounds under his belt. But decent effort against a decent fighter. Still think a fully firing Furry will be too clever for him.
-
The thing is Stupers, rumours are rumours. Unless someone sticks their head up and says X from the club (named) said Y (named) did Z (described). Otherwise it is rather unhelpful speculation. It is rife that McKirdy and Theo are trouble makers. But without solid evidence I prefer to hold fire.

Who says there's unrest. I'd love to know where this has come from and how we know for a fact that some players are causing trouble considering everyone is moaning about the lack of information coming from the club regarding injuries. The players are now separated from everyone else at the club because of covid so I don't see how unless this has come from a player or management that this is anything other than a load of bull.
As for Askey hasn't signed players so hes not playing them would you play mckirdy & Robinson after their performance the other week. they were brought in late because Robinson was lined up incase Maynard fell through and Mckirdy came in after Browne left and to me both look unfit or uninterested I'm not sure which
The poor run we've been on is down to the fact that we have a mid table budget with mid table players who aren't consistent enoughI think that the club's policy of hardly commenting on injuries does not help. I guess the idea is to keep the oppo in the dark. But it does fuel conspiracy theories. Pretty counterproductive in my opinion. If McKirdy Robinson Crookes are out injured or isolating just say so. Not like any are some secret weapon.

I genuinely have more in my mind that just one v Forest Green. I can remember him something similar v Morecambe in recent seasons. Like I said, I think 95% of the time it doesn't result in a goal as he tends to be able to get back and make amends. It's just something i've picked up on in the last couple of years. He's a good player, good defender and I think he's useful going forward. But I think he is careless with the ball at times - I've seen halves of football where I wonder if he's completed a pass or not. If he's going to get better (And I think he will) then that's his area of improvement.
I'm not having that. Yeh he gives the ball away now and again but no more than anyone else. And he is busy doing stuff, not backwards and sideways. More shocked he is a massive Sht fan. Oh well turn a blind eye on that one. Good luck getting back soon Gibbo. Class act.
Keep up the good work.

Did he get that much stick? I can't remember personally but it could be the case, I am a daft man after all.
Tell him he's a top bloke from Rory.Yeah he did. He really did. For his last few seasons it was relentless. I always thought he was decent. But got pelters on here and in the ground.

Another one. Yates was frequently a target of the boo boys. In the ground and on social media (totally unfairly for me). How does that affect your life?

We are interviewing Adam Yates tomorrow! Is there anything that anyone would like asking? We'll do our best!
I've got one. Yates was often slagged off because he was not much good in the air. How important is it for a FB to be good in the air? Not a criticism at all, genuine question.
-
Still enjoying it lads, so keep up the good work. Might be an idea to mix it up a bit and have a "mystery" third person who might have a different take? Could get a bit "samey" otherwise.

Last bit of arse licking mate before I start slagging your podcast off. I think the fact that it is well done, and not ranting stuff, you will have much more chance of getting people on. I initially thought you would soon run out of material. But thinking about it, nah. Plenty to go at.

Plenty of ex-players to go for Stupers if you can get them. I'd love to hear how Simon Simon Mills ended up as a drayman, and how he felt about the "no hair" chant. When he had plenty of hair. Just not necessarily in the right places.
Keep up the good work. It is nice to see that your efforts are being appreciated.
Now, if you could find Keith Ryder - that would be a blockbuster.

Probably. But Aspin's heart never seemed to be in it either. Not dirt digging here, just curious. Would be great if the lads could bring Aspin in. And Smurthwaite...
Keep up the good work stupers.
