I would tend to consider Vale's other main striker maybe closer to that description. And I don't mean DipepaI’m not talking about the under contract players, something will be sorted with some of them at some point but to speak to the biggest unfit donkey to ever pull on a professional football shirt is scandalous

If they have not gone up because of stadium regs. I have to say I have no sympathy with them. The same thing happened to Stevenage a few years back. They new what the rules were re stadium standards at the beginning of the season. And probably the season before that. So they can't moan if they haven't abided by the rules in place.Hoping for a new ground to visit out of one the teams in the National League and only Barnet I have been to so no doubt they will go up. Disappointing to see that Gateshead have been barred from taking part in the play-offs, deserved their place after 46 games.

Problem with selling Vale Park is that any money from the Sale would have to go on purchasing a new site. With a site having better transport links costing more than the sale. Then you have to spend a few million more building the new stadium. So straight away you are financially very worse off than when you started.Vale needed a new stadium years ago we all love it as all have good memories, however we needed a new one many years ago. Sell the Vale Park land for housing bring many more people into Burslem to live and find somewhere with better public transport links.
I'll get slack for this, but as the plan for the arena in Hanley has been dropped pop a new stadium there instead making it a concert venue aswell as a football stadium part own it with the council and buy it all later on like stoke did.
Vale have played in Hanley before and can again.
Better transport links, which are an excellent idea. Unfortunately, it tends to mean an out of town site on a business park. In other words, soulless.
A number of other lower league clubs have gone down the dream road of a new stadium and found themselves out of the league or in financial difficulties. Not in all cases, but it can happen.
So be careful what you wish for.

So with Sky showing around 50% of matches there's no way that Vale fans in the UK, who can't go, will use a VPN and log on for the International iFollow coverage of every game, especially the ones not on Sky.
Yep, that definitely won't happen.
No chance.
Unfortunately, I will need some technical instructions on how to set up a VPN. Still don't really understand such things as blue tooth 🤣 Still needs must so I suppose I will learn. This is really a crap decision though. Do the EFL really think everyone is going to go out and get Sky because of this.

Ah well, that was a crap season for loads of reasons, relegation obviously being the main one. So my sporting interests will switch to Lurcher racing where my daft dog has a better chance of winning, than Vale have of winning a match.
However I think there are a few positives to be had from all of this. First, Flitcroft has gone. I don't think he was ever a good influence at Vale Park. Carol has now seen the realities of football club ownership. That nothing ever goes to plan. Football is never any where near an exact science. And no amount of money and grand plans can ever ensure success. Also disaster is always around the corner. This I believe will make her a better owner with a better insight into football. On the playing side, we do have the prospect of some good youngsters coming through, which we have not had for a number of years. I believe that we will have the funding for a good squad next year. Darren Moore at least seems to have the flexibility to change formations when needed. Whether he will be the man to lead us out of league 2 remains to be seen. I do feel more confident of better times this relegation than others.
Would be nice though to have a season where relegation isn't an issue

If Vale players think about what they are doing they can win this
Walters has just played a lovely through into space. Grant never even moved or saw that was the only pass on

A couple of weeks ago I had Burton as by far the worst team out of them Cheltenham and us. Cheltenham I thought were the biggest danger to us with the easiest run in. We had two wins thought we could do it.Surprised very much by the Cheltenham collapse in recent weeks.
Never for a minute thought Burton would find enough points.
But Cheltenham and our collapse is amazing. We were bad before, but we have become awful now.

As things now stand we are down. Unless we score about 7 goals in the last 2 games

Why does it always seem like other teams know where each other are, play to a plan and keep to it.
Whereas Vale, never seem to know where each other are, never seems to be a plan and always seem to do things on the hoof. Never instinctive first time passes

It is annoying to be constantly outplayed by mid table sides with nothing to play for

Because we haven't got anyone better, sadlyDarren Moore being a centre half has really sorted this back line out. What manager picks the same defence as one that got smashed to bits at the weekend. Just relegate us already

Of the 3 clubs fighting for safety, the one I never expected to make it was Burton. And they are crap

I would agree that would be a subject for debate and opinion. Personally I think he could have held his own. From what I understand is the reason he was never sold on, was because Villa had a big sell on clause in his sale contract. Whether we ever had any enquiries from Div 1 clubs at the time I do not know.So he could of played in Division one ( Premier league as we now know it ).
Can't agree there.

I can see why Moore went with the tactics he did. As he could not see us beating them by going for it. Unfortunately it resulted in us hardly putting a glove on them, making us probably look worse than had he played a more attacking line up. Actually not probably but did. However bar for some rotten luck it could have come close to getting us a point. Yes I know they missed chances, but that's their problem.
The first goal to come seconds before half time, from two deflections, was awful luck. Timing could not have been worse. The penalty was Needless. Then an own goal for the third. I'm not saying if not for those we would have got a point. But for some awful luck, we could have come close. I know to watch it was awful, but to try and get that point, it was the only way to set up, with players we had. It didn't work out, as once we went behind we don't have the quality to overturn that sort of team. No need to go on about what Carlisle did. I would guess that was a bad day at the office and a weakened team.
I expected us to get beat by Peterborough. What I did not expect was Carlisle to beat Cheltenham. So we are still better off than I expected.
After that performance I feel the players will be strongly motivated for Exeter. Just need the Gas to get their players off the beach in Magaluff.
We do have a tougher run in than Cheltenham. But the do seem to have gone to pieces lately.
So still hope.
Apologies for babbling on so much. Just hit a bored moment in the day.

It is very scary really the difference in class between the two sides. Their players are so much better. On past occasions when we have played Posh, their players always seem bigger, fitter and faster. Always getting 50/50 balls before our players.
We just seem to need players who are bigger, faster and fiiter

Okay we've just conceded. But after 45 mins we are 1 - 0 down, away from home to a very good side. We have got attacking options on the bench.
I don't expect substitutions straight away. Try and keep the score down to 1 - 0. Then throw the attacking options after 65 mins
Sent from my SM-A528B using onevalefan mobile app -
Yes but it's 25 mins gone and we haven't conceded. That's not to say we won't thoughGot the hallmarks of being a VERY long night this
It's vile
I bet VTID is in his element

I don't think that team is as daft as it first looks. On their day Peterbrough can rip through us. So I think Moore has gone for Park the Bus and hoof ball for Loft to chase on to.
Might make sense. Can't see us out playing them at their place.
