Compare and contrast tonight's bench against the one from the play off semi final.
Not a glowing endorsement of the recruitment team, is it?

That’s away at Bolton big difference to buying a season ticket year after we go down
This season we went 11 games and then 14 games between winning a league match. Loft, Debrah, Sang, Lowe, Grant, Jones, Iacovitti and Ojo are still in contract. I think it's pretty reasonable and doesn't make someone a lesser fan if they wait and see how the summer goes before throwing away several hundred quid on another season of abject misery, this time at L2 level enjoying the prestige of Crawley and Bromley on a Tuesday night and being lowered back down through incompetence and neglect in 3 consecutive transfer windows to Walsall and Swindon's level.

That the conceited "Call yourself fans" song and dance is pretty boring when earlier today you said "<ovf censored> that" regarding going a Vale game.

I'm beginning to feel an odd sense of relief about this relegation, on the basis that we won't have to see quite a few of these dossers in a Vale shirt ever again.
This isn't like getting relegated from the premier league and being gutted that your team's going to get ripped apart in the summer window. It's the opposite, we can't wait for them to go.

Whatever combination we've used they've all been tripe.
There is no words for some performances I've seen from Smith,Jones,Debrah and Grant. I've never got the Debrah love in. He's awful. Lowe is a league 2 squad player at best yet has probably played 30 games.
Iacovitti has been ok and dreadful. He'd be my pick although not much competition.
Clark a disastrous season. Not fair to include the young lads in the equation.
Lopata a joke of a signing as was the Liverpool lad. And then we pull a rabbit out of the hat with a bizarre left back signing who has played 100 games in a decade. No idea what that's all about as it's only till the end of the season.
All in all we've moaned about the lack of strikers when the other end of the pitch is full of carthorses who struggle to control a football or pass to a white shirt 5 yards away.
Absolutely shocking. And most if not all are with us next season.
One of the top 2/3 most important signings for L2 next season will be a new Captain.
I've just been reading loads of player signing press releases from this season and there's so much emphasis dedicated to gushing over how nice they are. It's <ovf censored> pathetic. Lopata got shoved face first into an advertising board at Cheltenham away, the dossers just watched unbothered. Yates/Pope/Gibbo/Morsy/Hall etc would have gone mental. Not this lot, here you go Cheltenham here's your 3 points from a losing position.
I am very surprised given his playing style and but Smith has demonstrated time and time again he was a poor choice to be Captain. He can't steel them up. We've fallen apart like wet cardboard far too many times. We need an entirely new face to head up a 95% new squad.

Some more recruitment words of wisdom while we're at it
Quote"We have been chasing Ryan throughout the summer, so I am delighted to finally be able to say that he is now a Port Vale player.
"Ryan’s attributes will improve the squad’s quality at the top end of the pitch with his willingness to run unselfishly for the team, creating space or pressing the opposition aggressively.
1 league goal in 27 appearances. No assists.
Quote“Uche is a powerhouse of a player and provides us with another dimension that combines and compliments our other attacking options and we have brought him in at this stage of the season to provide further competition for places.
1 goal in 23 appearances.
Quote“Once we knew there was the possibility of getting a player of Conor’s [Grant] calibre to Vale Park we worked tirelessly to ensure he became one of us.
Quote“Gavin [Massey] is a player that we have been chasing for a while, and he brings with him a lot of brilliant League One and Championship experience. On the field he is a top player as well, he’s scored some really important goals in his career, he loves to get forward as he has an excellent attacking instinct and intent."
It goes on and on.

Talking about our first summer signing, Director of Football, David Flitcroft said:
“We have been chasing Tom’s signature since we knew we had secured our League One position and we are delighted that he has agreed to join us.
“Physically and athletically, we believe that Tom is already at Championship levels and he will add a different dimension to our midfield.

Yesterdays embarrassment occurred on the anniversary of that draw at Rochdale that left us needing a point for autos.
Would any of the current squad get into the 12/13 side? And we started that season in admin.
Why are the recruitment team still here?

Who was Captain today, Ojo?
That needs to change next season in L2.

I posted the retained list I wanted to see last month after we threw away a 2-0 lead (I know, it's unheard of right?) against Fleetwood.
One amendment. List Ripley. Sick of him pissing about at the back and then getting into arguments with Smith when he blames the defenders for his own antics.

I wouldn't go that far. I think she's learning an expensive lesson regarding the meaning of hubris though.

On the pattern emerging regarding his game management ability and substitutions, is anyone bothered by the above? Genuine question.

Look at our history Doha - that is the point I was trying to make. We have done this down the years time after time. If you have followed us over any length of time, you must know that. I'm not belittling your support of the Vale, I'm saying that if you lose your rag over getting relegated, or being under the threat of relegation, or being crap over a period of games, or collapsing after being ahead, then you you you've forgotten what it is like to be a Vale fan - because we do that a lot of the time. That's all. No need for going off on one and using the words you did. But I understand you are upset too, and if that makes me sanctimonious, I'll wear it, I'm not that bothered.
I admire your ambition.
As Darren correctly says, this slow motion car crash has been unfolding since last January for all to see. This disastrous relegation was so, so avoidable. That is why so many people are infuriated.
This isn't a cyclical event. It isn't a product of the natural ebbs and flows of the football league. It's happened, unnecessarily, through sheer incompetence, negligence, and unchecked arrogance.

he took us to the quarter final of the league cup with this load of crap.
By narrowly beating a few L2 sides before embarassing ourselves in the quarter final with a cowards performance from the first minute.
Appointing Crosby, while a good man, for his first ever club managerial role, straight into the gauntlet of L1 without interviewing anyone else was yet another one of her appalling, inexplicable decisions.
