Getting into league 1 is a good achievement for us.
I don't agree, and would say that is a very sad indictment in how the club has been run since the 1990s because we've spent the overwhelming majority of our history well above L2. 41 seasons in the Championship, 46 in L1.

the ones who leave won't have a favourable impression of Port Vale to pass on.
We won't be recruiting from the step 9 village leagues where they're all going so I'm not sure this is such a pressing issue.

You can listen to Radio Stoke on the Internet or on your phone via the BBC app. That definitely works well overseas also for most programming.
There's a blackout during games on the internet stream. It won't work.

League 1 to Vale fans was like premiership to Stoke.
What? No it wasn't.

Bradford were daft enough to take Robinson.

Well done DC
Match fixing .
Peterboro don't like Cambridge so played there reserves I've read surely if football was so honest that shouldn't be allowed.
Get the bent folk out of football .
People think there watching a honest sport they are not .
All about the money 💰
They rested players for their upcoming play off campaign.
Match fixing mad you are.

Saturday has the potential to be very, very funny

That's what happens when you actually <ovf censored> sign a striker in January

We've bollocksed our own season up through sheer arrogance and incompetence but I wouldn't mind beating Cambridge on Saturday just to try and help Clarke stay up.
Failing that, it'd be good for them to leapfrog Burton. <ovf censored> fan manager, tinpot club, their fans (all 17 of them) were taking the piss when we were relegated.

so even if he scored 20 in league 2 next season, we should still not renew his contract if in league 1.
Loft's L2 record is 16 in 105. The most he's ever scored in a season is 8.

There's already a need for two new senior strikers to add to the squad at significant cost, more than £200K p.a. (plus any transfer fees).
You're suggesting spending a further £100K+ to pay up an existing striker.
And then spending a further £100K+ wages (plus any transfer fee) to sign a third new striker.
Not a sensible use of a finite budget when other areas of the squad are also in need of renewing.Pissing so much money up the wall on Ryan Loft wasn't a sensible use of a finite budget.
If he's still leading the line next season good luck with ticket sales.

I'm looking forward to seeing what a long close-season of working with Lee Bradbury on his technical skills and awareness, followed by playing against League 2 standard defences, may do for Loft's confidence and goal return.
I'm not. 1 goal in 29, less career goals than one of our centre halves who's still in his 20s. Pay him up and replace.

I watched Stafford Rangers play Ashton United on Saturday. Ashton had Sean Newton in defence, he is 35 and played 77 games for Lincoln 10 years ago before returning to non league. He looked like he was in a different league to everyone else on the pitch. Non league may have some young gems but they are few and far between.
Watching the FA Cup yesterday, and comparing the football on show to what Vale have served up this season - it's genuinely a completely different <ovf censored> game. Man Utd would have hit double figures against this Vale side. With ease.

What is the obsession with Sproson? We‘ve signed quite a few players who he was/is the agent for and they were mostly crap.

This is up there with our published list of individual referee mistakes a few seasons back

He'll go Wrexham or Stockport.

Which would have cost less:
Signing someone like Johnson Clarke Harris in a bid to retain league 1 status.
Signing nobody, sacking and paying off Crosby & Dunn, and bringing in Moore & his 4 assistants, with relegation a very distinct possibility, with the catastrophic financial implications that relegation brings.
Sometimes, we have to accept that progress costs money. If someone tells you there’s a better way, they are bullshitting.
Correct. Penny wise pound foolish. 3 times in a <ovf censored> row since last January.

It better. We need 7 new first team starters minimum.

Next season could look like:

I hope it doesn't. The youth players all need to go away on loan.

The game against Sutton tells me we could struggle.
At least we don't have to go back to that dive, barring a catastrophic balls up from Colchester. Which is also an awful ground.
Barnet, Bromley, Solihull, Gateshead and Halifax in the NL play offs is an equally depressing prospect, but Altrincham could be good a day out I imagine.

Uche and Loft simply didn’t score enough.
You can say that again.
1 league goal each with 1 game to go.
1 <ovf censored> goal.
Incredible stuff.

I am very angry at some of Carol's awful decisions because there was an air of arrogance to some of them, but, I'm trying not to be angry at her, just disappointed.
However, she's fronted up, accepted responsibility, apologised, and committed to spending next season. We're already losing £65,000 a week.
Given how she's been literally crying at Vale Park in recent weeks I would imagine today will have been horrendous for her, and, particularly in view of the funding she's put into the club, I do genuinely feel sorry for her despite none of us needing to be in this situation if she could 1) Be less tunnel visioned and 2) just learn to listen.
It is not for me to say but I believe she's also been ill over the last year, adding to my empathy.
It's a nuanced situation where she's <ovf censored> up and created expensive lessons for herself - hopefully she's learned them. There is much in her favour though. I think the anger should be directed at the horrific recruitment record and the number of dosser players who don't care. I'm actually looking forward to Cambridge as it's the last time some of them will embarass the badge.

Wynne not even in the squad. Another feather in the cap of our magnificent recruitment system. Outstanding as Flitcroft used to say, 13 times a sentence.
Anyway, genuinely excited that we will hopefully never see many of these dossers ever again. Tra.
