Onel Hernandez player profile

Port Vale added free agent Onel Hernadez to their squad in February 2026. The veteran winger is a Cuba International and agreed a deal until the end of the season.

He made his debut coming on as a late sub in a 4-0 Football League Trophy loss to Stockport County. He took time to regain fitness but he managed a run of eye catching performances at the end of the season as his skills bamboozled League One defences. However, it was not enough for him to initially earn a contract with the club. Nevertheless, Vale’s interest in the winger continued and he agreed a one year deal with the club in July 2026.
